Overview
Cisco Catalyst 9500 Series Switches represent the upcoming iteration of enterprise-grade core and aggregation layer switches. The Cisco Catalyst C9500-40X-2Q-E Switch provides 40 x 10/100/1000 PoE+ ports, a 40 x 10G Gigabit SFP+ uplink interface, a 2-Port 10-Gigabit Ethernet (QSFP) Network Module, 2 power supply slots, and a 1U rack-mountable enclosure type. The Cisco Catalyst C9500-48X-A has complete programmability and serviceability. The Cisco C9500-40X-2Q-E Switch is powered by an x86 CPU, 960 Gbps switching capacity, and 720 Mpps forwarding rate, which makes it Cisco's primary purpose-built fixed core and aggregation enterprise switching solution designed to cater to the requirements of security, IoT, and cloud computing environments.
