LEARNThe S9300 Series Switch License is a software entitlement that unlocks advanced routing, security, QoS and virtualization features on the S9300 hardware. It’s required to enable enterprise-grade functionality beyond the base Layer 2 feature set.
The S9300 offers three core tiers: Standard (Layer 2 switching), Advanced (full Layer 3 routing, BGP, OSPF), and Enterprise (multi-tenant virtualization, MPLS, segment routing).
You can purchase S9300 licenses through authorized resellers or directly via the vendor’s online portal. Provide your device serial number and desired tier for accurate order processing.
To activate, upload the license file via CLI or web GUI, then run the commit command (e.g., “license install ” and “license commit”). The switch will automatically apply and enable the licensed features.
