The AR-1CSTM1-W is a WSIC interface card providing one 155 Mbps channelized packet port over SDH/SONET for seamless integration of packet services on compatible routers.
The AR-1CSTM1-W is compatible with Cisco routers that feature WSIC slots, including the 4000 and 7200 Series with appropriate hardware and IOS support.
Power down the router, slide the AR-1CSTM1-W into an available WSIC slot, secure the card with the captive screws, power on the device, and verify installation via the IOS “show diag” command.
It offers a single STM-1/OC-3 optical port with SC connectors and supports internal channelized timeslot mapping for subrate services.
Channelized packet over SDH/SONET encapsulates packet traffic into fixed SDH/SONET timeslots, enabling simultaneous transmission of multiple subrate channels over a 155 Mbps trunk.
