The upgrade is supported on Cisco ASA 5510, 5520, 5540, and 5550 platforms running ASA software version 8.2 or later.
After purchasing the PAK, you register it on Cisco’s licensing portal and install the activation key via CLI or ASDM to enable up to 100 security contexts.
You must have a valid base ASA 5500 license, a supported software image (8.2+), and a Cisco SMART Net support contract for activation.
You can order the SKU ASA-SC-50-100 through any authorized Cisco reseller, Cisco Commerce Workspace, or the Cisco online store.
