Network Advantage remains the perpetual base and provides advanced routing, segmentation, multicast, scale and security. The switch must run the Advantage tier because the Cisco DNA tier must correspond with the Network Advantage license. C9200-DNA-A-48-3Y uses Smart Licensing Using Policy on IOS XE 17.3.2a and later; RUM reporting for subscription attributes uses a 90-day first-report requirement and 90-day reporting frequency under the default policy. License use is not node-locked, and Smart Licenses are transferable between the same types of devices. The add-on subscription must be renewed before term expiry to keep DNA features. At expiry, the switch continues with base license capabilities after add-on deactivation and reload.
