C9300X-24HX-E identifies a Catalyst 9300X switch: C9300X names the hardware family, 24 specifies the access-port count, HX identifies the 10G/mGig copper UPOE+ configuration with modular uplinks, and E selects Network Essentials. The part number does not include an installed uplink module; that choice is made separately.
C9300X-24HX-E supports WebUI and CLI through console or SSH; centralized options include Cisco Catalyst Center and compatible Meraki dashboard management. Dashboard operation can retain device-local configuration or use cloud configuration with a Cloud CLI terminal. Select the management mode and required subscription separately from the included Network Essentials tier.

C9300X-24HX-E accepts C9300X-NM-8M for eight Multigigabit uplinks, C9300X-NM-8Y for eight 25G/10G/1G uplinks, or C9300X-NM-2C for two 100G/40G uplinks. The base configuration leaves the bay without an uplink module. C9300X-NM-4C is not compatible with this model, so specify the required compatible module when placing the order.
StackWise-1T connects eight Catalyst 9300X members at 1 Tbps with matching license levels. C9300X-24HX-E uses STACK-T1-50CM, STACK-T1-1M, or STACK-T1-3M cables through built-in stack connections. Mixed Catalyst 9300 stacks run at StackWise-480 speeds; Catalyst 9300L and higher-scale Catalyst 9300 models cannot join this stack.
C9300X-24HX-E supports Layer 3 routed access under Network Essentials, including OSPF limited to 1000 routes, RIP, EIGRP Stub, PBR, VRRP, and PIM Stub Multicast limited to 1000 routes. The second bay contains a blank in the base configuration, and StackPower+ provides another power-input path.
