The CR5D00L4XX20 LPUI-40 is a 4-port 10GBase LAN/WAN XFP integrated line processing unit designed to deliver high-performance 10 Gbps connectivity for enterprise and service provider routers. It aggregates four independent 10 Gbps XFP interfaces into a single, hot-swappable module, enabling flexible WAN and LAN deployments.
The LPUI-40 is compatible with the Cisco ASR 9000 Series chassis supporting Integrated Line Processing Units (ILPUs). Ensure your chassis has an available ILPU slot and runs the recommended IOS XR software release for full interoperability.
Each of the four XFP ports supports 10 Gbps full-duplex operation in both LAN and WAN PHY modes. Ports auto-negotiate XFI electrical interfaces and can be manually configured for LAN or WAN framing.
Yes. Each port on the LPUI-40 can be independently configured in LAN or WAN mode, allowing mixed deployments of T11 LAN PHY and SONET/SDH‐framed WAN PHY on the same module.
