NGFW module performs security inspection efficiently.
Minimal latency impact with advanced policies.
Reliable hardware security processing.
Integrated smoothly into firewall chassis.
Stable under continuous threat analysis.
Strong balance of security and speed.
The ET1D2FW00S00 NGFW Module A is a hardware-based next-generation firewall module for the General Security Platform, providing enterprise-grade firewalling, intrusion prevention, and advanced threat protection in a single compact form factor.
ET1D2FW00S00 delivers up to 10 Gbps stateful firewall throughput and up to 5 Gbps next-generation firewall (NGFW) throughput under typical mixed traffic loads.
Built-in features include stateful inspection, intrusion prevention (IPS), anti-malware, URL filtering, application control, SSL/TLS inspection, and sandbox threat analysis.
This module is compatible with the manufacturer’s General Security Platform series chassis and requires a compatible mid-size or large form-factor security appliance slot.
Power down the chassis, slide the module into an available security slot until it clicks, secure the module with the retention screw, then power up and initialize via the web-based setup wizard.
A base hardware license is included for 1 year of software support; optional subscription renewals or feature licenses (e.g., Threat Intelligence, WildFire) are sold separately.
Manage it centrally via the vendor’s Security Management System or locally using the integrated web UI and CLI, both of which support role-based access control and automation APIs.
Use the Security Platform’s automated update service to download and apply firmware, OS patches, and threat signature updates on a scheduled or on-demand basis.
It supports up to 5 million concurrent sessions and a new session rate of 150 000 sessions per second under default configuration.
You can deploy the module in active/standby or active/active high-availability pairs with stateful synchronization for seamless failover and session preservation.
Use the vendor’s virtual connectors and APIs to extend policies to AWS, Azure, and GCP, enabling consistent hybrid-cloud firewalling and threat protection.
Supports AES-256, 3DES, RSA up to 4096-bit, ECC up to P-521, TLS 1.3/1.2, and perfect forward secrecy for all encrypted sessions.
Standard installation and configuration can be completed within 2–4 hours, depending on network complexity and policy customization.
Includes a 1-year hardware warranty and 90-day software support; optional 24×7 premium support, advanced hardware replacement, and extended software maintenance are available.
Yes, you can scale throughput and session capacity linearly by installing multiple NGFW Module A units in multi-slot chassis designs.
Throughput and session capacity depend on enabled security features, SSL inspection load, concurrent session count, and network traffic mix.
It leverages real-time threat intelligence feeds, sandbox analysis, and machine-learning-driven behavioral profiling to detect and block unknown malware and zero-day exploits.
