SG112-24-EU combines fanless operation with unmanaged Layer 2 switching for small-business offices. The desktop chassis provides 22 dedicated 10/100/1000 RJ-45 connections plus two fixed Gigabit combo connections, each usable through copper or an SFP interface. Selecting fiber occupies the corresponding copper connection rather than adding another independent connection. The Cisco 110 Series connects computers, printers, copiers, and other independently powered office equipment; this non-PoE model does not deliver endpoint power. Unlike the discontinued SG110-24HP-EU, which supplies PoE on 12 ports, this compact 24-port Gigabit switch provides data connectivity only. Its fixed uplink arrangement requires no removable network card, while its desktop enclosure accommodates installations that do not require a full-width rack chassis.

48 Gbps switching capacity supports traffic exchange across the connected Gigabit interfaces. 35.7 Mpps forwarding performance specifies packet handling with 64-byte packets, providing a separate measure from aggregate switching bandwidth. SG112-24-EU maintains 8000 MAC address entries for Ethernet forwarding across attached devices. Jumbo frames of 9216 bytes accommodate larger Ethernet frames where connected equipment uses a matching frame size. Four hardware queues handle priority-based traffic scheduling, using 802.1p priority, priority queuing, and Weighted Round-Robin. Automatic QoS prioritizes delay-sensitive voice and video traffic without configuration. Store-and-forward switching identifies damaged packets before forwarding, while head-of-line blocking prevention addresses traffic obstruction between queues. Energy Efficient Ethernet reduces energy use during quiet periods on active links. These automatic traffic-handling functions operate without turning the unit into a routed-access switch; connections between separate IP networks remain the responsibility of other network equipment.
Specify SG112-24-EU in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, and confirm the regional power cord and required mounting hardware before placing the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed links on every port, optics bay recognition, PSU status, and a clean boot. New units carry ORM coverage of up to 3 years extended; certified refurbished units carry up to 1 year, and every condition includes 30-day returns, with terms applying. ORM accepts POs, provides Net-30 for government, and offers RMA with advance replacement; include condition, quantities, and accessories together when specifying enterprise or volume orders.

When an office rollout includes the European Economic Area, the EU ordering suffix also covers designated markets such as Switzerland, Turkey, Israel, and the United Arab Emirates. Regional selection affects the purchase specification rather than Ethernet capability. Confirm the destination country and required power-cord arrangement before issuing the purchase order.
When a lab prepares existing copper cabling for reuse, Category 5e or better cabling is the connection requirement to check. Automatic cable diagnostics identify faults or shorts, and loop detection identifies accidental network loops. Include suitable patch cables and a cabling inspection step in the staging order.
Switch-powered phones or wireless access points
SG112-24-EU provides Ethernet data without PoE output. Phones, access points, or cameras that depend on power from their Ethernet connection cannot receive that power directly from this model.
10G or faster distribution uplinks
SG112-24-EU supports Gigabit uplinks only. Its fixed interfaces do not provide a 10G uplink path, and the shared fiber connections remain limited to 1G operation.

SG112 identifies the compact Gigabit model in SG112-24-EU, 24 denotes its total Gigabit connection count, and EU selects the regional order version. The EU suffix covers the European Economic Area and additional designated markets, rather than changing Ethernet speed or adding powered ports.
SG112-24-EU operates without configuration as an unmanaged switch. Port speed and duplex negotiation, automatic cable detection, traffic prioritization, loop detection, and cable diagnostics run automatically. Each connected device negotiates its link independently, allowing mixed Ethernet endpoint speeds on the same switch.
SG112-24-EU is discontinued: its Cisco end-of-sale date was October 30, 2021, and its last date of support is October 31, 2026. Phone support included with the product warranty ended October 30, 2022. CBS110-24T-EU is the named replacement for migration planning.
ORM offers SG112-24-EU new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to 3-year extended coverage for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Every condition includes 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's separate limited lifetime hardware warranty is bounded by the October 31, 2026 service end date.
SG112-24-EU supports 24 independent Gigabit connections: 22 dedicated copper connections and two combo connections offering copper or SFP connectivity. Each combo connection shares its copper and fiber interfaces, so using an SFP does not create an additional independent connection beyond the total of 24.
SG112-24-EU uses an internal universal AC power supply accepting 110-240V AC at 50-60 Hz. Power connects through a mains cord rather than an external desktop adapter. Confirm that the cord supplied with the order matches the electrical outlet at the installation location.
The compact Cisco 110 Series Gigabit switch is fanless and uses a desktop enclosure measuring 279.4 mm wide, 170 mm deep, and 44 mm high. Its weight is 1.55 kg. Allow for the enclosure and attached cabling when checking the intended installation space.
SG112-24-EU provides 48 Gbps switching capacity and a forwarding rate of 35.7 Mpps with 64-byte packets. The Ethernet forwarding table holds 8000 MAC addresses. Jumbo-frame support reaches 9216 bytes, so frame-size settings on connected equipment must match the requirements of the intended network.
The Cisco 110 Series automatically prioritizes delay-sensitive voice and video traffic using QoS. Four hardware queues support 802.1p priority handling, priority queuing, and Weighted Round-Robin scheduling. These traffic-handling functions operate automatically, so their presence does not require a switch configuration step during installation.
SG112-24-EU provides no PoE output, while SG110-24HP-EU supplies PoE on 12 ports with a shared 100W budget. Both models are discontinued. The non-PoE model serves separately powered endpoints; the powered model is relevant to matching existing installations that already depend on its limited powered-port allocation.
SG112-24-EU has an internal AC power supply, while SG110D-08-EU uses an external power adapter. The smaller model also has eight Gigabit connections rather than 24. Both are discontinued: the compact eight-port unit fits smaller legacy installations, while the internal-supply unit accommodates a larger connection count.
SG112-24-EU is the discontinued model, while CBS110-24T-EU is its replacement in the Cisco Business 110 line. The older model reached end of sale on October 30, 2021. Retained installations requiring an exact hardware match use the older identity; migration orders should specify the replacement identity.
The SG112-24 compact Gigabit switch replaced the SG102-24 compact Gigabit model. That relationship identifies the older model family when matching an existing installation. SG112-24-EU is itself discontinued, so a migration purchase should distinguish retained legacy hardware from the later CBS110-24T-EU replacement.
