LEARNThe S7700 Series supports two license types: Base (unrestricted basic switching) and Advantage (advanced services such as MPLS, IPv6 and virtualization). Choose the Advantage license for full feature access.
You can purchase S7700 licenses through an authorized Huawei partner or directly from Huawei’s eStore. Provide your device serial number and desired license level (Base or Advantage) to complete the order.
Upload the .lic file to the switch via FTP/SFTP or USB and run the command ‘license install ’. The system will validate and activate the new license immediately.
Issue the CLI command ‘display license’ to view license type, activation status, expiration date and available features. This delivers a concise status summary for rich snippet display.
