LEARNA Cisco Scientific Atlantic compatible SFP is a hot-pluggable fiber transceiver module that meets Cisco MSA specifications and works interchangeably in Cisco routers and switches for Ethernet and fiber channel applications.
These SFPs support standard data rates of 100 Mbps, 1 Gbps, 2 Gbps, 4 Gbps and 10 Gbps, depending on the model, enabling flexible bandwidth for LAN and SAN environments.
Transmission distance ranges from 300 meters over multi-mode fiber to 80 kilometers over single-mode fiber, depending on the SFP’s wavelength and fiber type.
They support both multi-mode fiber (MMF) and single-mode fiber (SMF) with wavelengths typically at 850 nm for MMF and 1310 nm or 1550 nm for SMF.
