Engineers restore VLAN, trunk, spanning-tree, uplink, and management settings from the existing Catalyst configuration, then reconnect the 2 x SFP uplinks toward distribution. The IP Base image keeps the replacement aligned with the installed Standard Image requirement. The closet regains the approved access profile without changing cabling, endpoint speed, or spare-part policy. This keeps emergency swaps simple for technicians.
