The WSIC-4GE-BYPASS is a 4-port Gigabit Ethernet bypass card that provides automatic link bypass in Cisco Integrated Services Routers to maintain network uptime during device or power failures.
Key features include four electrical Gigabit Ethernet bypass ports, hardware-based link monitoring, sub-1-millisecond bypass relay switching, and hot-swap capability for zero-downtime maintenance.
The WSIC-4GE-BYPASS is compatible with select Cisco ISR 4000 Series routers equipped with a Wideband Slot Interface Card (WSIC) slot as specified in Cisco’s compatibility matrix.
Power down your router, open the WSIC slot cover, insert the WSIC-4GE-BYPASS card until it seats firmly, secure the retention bracket, and power the router back on.
