The PL-7A cleaning cartridge is compatible with all LTO Ultrium half-inch tape drives, including LTO-1 through LTO-8 models from major vendors.
HP recommends cleaning every 30 to 50 tape mount operations or if the drive indicates a cleaning alert, whichever comes first.
Each universal cleaning cartridge supports up to 50 cleaning cycles under normal operating conditions.
