The Cisco NIM-VAB-A is a multi-mode DSL network interface module supporting VDSL2, ADSL2, and ADSL2+ over Annex A copper lines in Cisco ISR routers.
It supports ITU-T G.993.2 (VDSL2), ITU-T G.992.3 (ADSL2), and ITU-T G.992.5 (ADSL2+) to deliver flexible broadband connectivity.
Customers can achieve downstream speeds up to 100 Mbps on VDSL2 and 24 Mbps on ADSL2+, with upstream rates up to 100 Mbps and 3 Mbps, respectively.
Annex A refers to the DSL frequency plan optimized for POTS lines in North America and Europe, ensuring compatibility with standard telephone networks.
