SF550X-24 combines 24 10/100 Mbps access ports with four fixed 10G uplinks in a managed, non-PoE rack-mount 1U switch. Its Layer 2+ capabilities serve small-business networks requiring VLAN switching, static routing, and RIP v2. Two uplinks provide shared 10GBASE-T/SFP+ connections, while two provide dedicated SFP+ connections; each shared connection uses either copper or fiber, not both simultaneously. The 550X Series Stackable Managed Switches also support voice VLAN assignment and QoS for separately powered phones. Unlike the base model, the discontinued SF550X-24P provides PoE+ with a shared 195W power budget.

84.8 Gbps switching capacity accommodates nonblocking forwarding, and 63.09 Mpps forwarding applies to 64-byte packets. SF550X-24 has 512 MB of memory, 256 MB of flash, and a dynamically shared 1.5 MB packet buffer. SF550X-24 identifies the 550X Fast Ethernet model with 24 access ports. The base configuration is non-PoE and includes four 10G uplinks. SF550X-24-K9-NA is the North American ordering PID.
SF550X-24 supports HTTP/HTTPS web configuration, Textview CLI through console, SSH or Telnet, and SNMP. Additional management paths include Smart Network Application, FindIT Network Manager, embedded FindIT Network Probe, FindIT Network Discovery Utility, and Active Advisor.
SF550X-24 is discontinued. For the North American configuration, end of sale was June 18, 2020, software maintenance ended June 18, 2021, and Cisco support ended June 30, 2025. New sealed inventory does not restart those milestones.
