When an existing deployment adds Cisco DNA Advantage for software-defined access, IP Base limits the configuration to three virtual networks. Hardware matching alone does not establish the required segmentation scale. When units must pass through a staging bench before acceptance, browser access does not cover every preparation task. WS-C3650-48FWS-S supports console CLI access, remote CLI sessions over SSH or Telnet, a browser-based web UI and Cisco Prime Infrastructure management. Cisco IOS XE Fuji 16.9 supports SSH Version 2 rather than Version 1. Select the management method and software release before preparing the unit.

WS-C3650-48FWS-S has the higher full-PoE allocation, while WS-C3650-48PWS-S uses the lower-budget PoE configuration. Both wireless bundles have 48 access ports, four 1G uplinks and IP Base. Both are discontinued; the full-PoE bundle suits higher aggregate endpoint demand, while the other suits a smaller power allocation.
WS-C3650-48FWS-S includes IP Base, whereas WS-C3650-48FS-E includes IP Services with full OSPF and EIGRP functionality. Both PIDs are discontinued. The IP Base bundle suits routed-access requirements; the IP Services configuration suits buyers whose routing design needs the advanced feature tier rather than the restricted access-routing feature set.
WS-C3650-48FWS-S provides four fixed 1G uplinks, while WS-C3650-48FWQ-S provides four 10G uplinks. Both are discontinued full-PoE wireless bundles with five access point licenses and IP Base. The 1G configuration suits existing Gigabit upstream connections; the 10G configuration addresses a different upstream-speed requirement.
The Catalyst 3650 full-PoE bundle requires two PWR-C2-1025WAC supplies to deliver 30W on every access port. Its default single-supply PoE budget is shared, not a guarantee of simultaneous maximum output. Size the endpoint allocation and specify the additional supply when full-port PoE+ delivery is required.
A Catalyst 3650 StackWise-160 stack supports nine members with matching license levels. C3650-STACK-KIT= provides the stacking adapters; cable options are STACK-T2-50CM=, STACK-T2-1M= and STACK-T2-3M=. Choose cable lengths for the rack layout and keep Catalyst 3850 switches out of the stack because mixed-family stacking is unsupported.
