WS-C3650-48PD-S identifies a Catalyst 3650 with 48 PoE+ access ports, two 10G uplinks, and IP Base software. WS-C3650 identifies the switch family, 48 the access-port count, P the powered-port configuration, D the two-10G uplink configuration, and S the IP Base feature set. The chassis occupies one rack unit.
The Catalyst 3650 supports CLI management, including console access and remote SSH or Telnet, plus Cisco Prime infrastructure and SNMP management. SSH and encrypted SNMPv3 require the cryptographic software image. Select the intended management method and verify the installed image before applying the retained administration configuration.
WS-C3650-48PD-S is discontinued: its end-of-sale date was October 31, 2021, and its last date of Cisco support is October 31, 2026. C9300L-48P-4X-A is the successor.
