WS-C3650-24TS-E is a managed Layer 3 access switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet data ports, four fixed 1G SFP uplinks, and IP Services in a 1U rack-mount chassis. This Cisco Catalyst 3650 Series configuration connects independently powered PCs, printers, and other Ethernet devices rather than supplying PoE to endpoints. The discontinued WS-C3650-24PS-E differs by adding PoE+ while retaining the same access-port count and uplink layout. The installed tier provides advanced enterprise IPv4 and IPv6 routing, so replacement purchases need to match software entitlement as well as hardware. Port security restricts endpoint address learning, DHCP snooping filters unauthorized DHCP responses, and MQC-based QoS applies traffic classification and queuing. The uplink architecture does not accept removable port-expansion cards.
WS-C3650-24TS-E price for new stock is $1,044.75, a 93% saving from the Cisco list price of $14,912.00. WS-C3650-24TS-E refurb price is $246.75. WS-C3650-24TS-E is in stock and available for free next-day delivery. (terms applied)

92 Gbps switching capacity supports aggregate traffic sizing; 41.66 Mpps forwarding provides a separate packet-rate limit. OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4, and IS-ISv4 provide full unicast routing under the installed tier, while OSPFv3 and EIGRPv6 extend routing to IPv6. PIM-SM and PIM-DM handle multicast routing. The IPv4 resource accommodates 24000 entries across ARP and learned routes, so address-resolution demand belongs in the same sizing exercise. WS-C3650-24TS-E pairs 4 GB of DRAM with 2 GB of flash for running software and saving configurations. Cisco UADP implements forwarding functions within the Catalyst 3650 architecture, and the MAC database accommodates 32000 endpoint addresses. RSTP and MSTP control Layer 2 loops, while LACP aggregates compatible Ethernet links. Console CLI, SSH, Telnet, Cisco Prime Infrastructure, and SNMP provide administration paths. Three FAN-T1 fans provide active cooling; the chassis is not fanless. 57.1W at full traffic provides an electrical-planning reference for the 115V AC, EEE-enabled test configuration, distinct from the PWR-C2-250WAC supply rating.
Specify WS-C3650-24TS-E in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, with quantities and accessory PIDs on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for rated-speed port links and optics bay recognition, with firmware verified and configurations wiped to factory default. ORM provides up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units, up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, and 30-day returns on both conditions, subject to terms; Cisco's Enhanced Limited Lifetime warranty is restricted to the original owner, with applicable service ending October 31, 2026. Enterprise and volume purchasing includes PO acceptance, government Net-30, RMA with advance replacement, and regional stock/RMA across the UK, EU, US, and MEA.

In a large university campus, IT teams deploy the WS-C3650-24TS-E Cisco Catalyst 3650 24 Port Data 4x1G Uplink IP Services as a stacked distribution layer for lecture halls, labs and wireless access points. Leveraging StackWise-480 and Cisco IOS XE, the solution delivers sub-second failover and centralized policy enforcement via Cisco DNA Center. Outcome: 99.999% network availability, seamless roaming for 10,000+ students, and a 30% reduction in operational overhead through automated provisioning.
A multi-site retail chain implements WS-C3650-24TS-E switches at each branch to unify voice, video and data on a single network. Using Cisco IP Services and advanced QoS profiles, the deployment isolates VoIP and video traffic, ensuring end-to-end call quality and low latency for point-of-sale terminals and conferencing systems. Outcome: 50% fewer dropped calls, 40% improvement in video clarity, and consistent 1 Gbps uplink performance to the corporate WAN.
A manufacturing plant integrates hundreds of IoT sensors, robotic controllers and SCADA systems on the WS-C3650-24TS-E to enforce microsegmentation and Zero Trust access. Utilizing Cisco TrustSec, dynamic VLAN assignment, and ACLs within Cisco IOS XE, operators create secure zones for operational technology (OT) and IT traffic. Outcome: automated device onboarding in under 2 minutes, 70% fewer lateral threat risks, and full compliance with IEC 62443 cybersecurity standards.
When staging traffic monitoring before an access-switch replacement, WS-C3650-24TS-E supports 24000 Flexible NetFlow entries across wired and wireless traffic. An external collector can receive the flow data for analysis. Specify the collector integration and required monitoring configuration before releasing the hardware purchase order.
When departmental VLAN growth drives an access-layer replacement, 1000 switched virtual interfaces and 4094 VLAN IDs set the configuration's interface limits. SDM templates allocate TCAM resources to deployment requirements, so the interface plan must match the selected template. Specify required VLANs and SVIs before finalizing the purchase order.
When branch equipment must start from a cold cabinet, the minimum cold-start ambient temperature is 0°C. Running-temperature limits do not replace that startup requirement. Evaluate the cabinet's overnight conditions and the expected startup sequence, then confirm that the site can meet the cold-start requirement before specifying the order.

WS-C3650-24TS-E identifies a Catalyst 3650 switch with 24 10/100/1000 data ports, four 1G uplinks, and IP Services. WS-C3650 identifies the switch family, 24 is the access-port count, T denotes data ports, S selects four 1G uplinks, and E selects IP Services. The configuration includes a PWR-C2-250WAC power supply.
Catalyst 3650 is managed through console CLI, SSH, Telnet, SNMPv3, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure. The Ethernet management port provides a separate management connection. Cisco Prime Infrastructure centralizes configuration and monitoring, while the CLI handles detailed settings; SSH and cryptographic SNMPv3 require a cryptographic software image.
WS-C3650-24TS-E is discontinued: end of sale was October 31, 2021, and the last date of Cisco support is October 31, 2026. Software maintenance ended October 31, 2022, while vulnerability/security support ends October 31, 2026. C9300L-24T-4G-A is the current replacement for this 24-port data configuration.
ORM Systems offers WS-C3650-24TS-E new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to 1 year. Both conditions have 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's Enhanced Limited Lifetime warranty is restricted to the original owner, with applicable Cisco service ending October 31, 2026; ORM's coverage is separate.
WS-C3650-24TS-E includes perpetual IP Services; LAN Base and IP Base are the other family tiers. Base IP Services operation does not require a Cisco DNA subscription on an ORM order. Optional Cisco DNA Advantage starts at 3 years; discontinued Cisco DNA Premier had a 3-year minimum. Subscription expiration does not remove the perpetual base tier.
WS-C3650-24TS-E replaced the discontinued WS-C3560V2-24TS-E, whose end-of-sale date was May 14, 2016. The older model had 24 10/100 access ports and two SFP uplinks; the replacement added Gigabit access and four 1G uplinks. WS-C3650-24TS-E is now discontinued itself, with C9300L-24T-4G-A continuing the migration path.
WS-C3650-24TS-E has four fixed 1G SFP uplink ports, not 10G SFP+ uplinks. These cages accept compatible Gigabit transceivers; uplinks are not a removable network module. Select optics for fiber type, reach, and the link partner. Replacing a transceiver does not change the uplink speed class.
Nine Catalyst 3650 switches can form one StackWise-160 stack with 160 Gbps of stack bandwidth. Optional C3650-STACK-KIT= provides stacking hardware; STACK-T2-50CM=, STACK-T2-1M=, and STACK-T2-3M= are cable options. An IP Services stack requires matching feature sets. STACK-T2-1M= and STACK-T2-3M= are discontinued, so cable availability needs confirmation.
WS-C3650-24TS-E supports full OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4, and IS-ISv4 under IP Services, plus OSPFv3 and EIGRPv6 for IPv6. Multicast routing includes PIM-SM and PIM-DM. The total IPv4 resource is 24000 entries covering ARP and learned routes, not 24000 learned routes alone. Size address-resolution and routing requirements together.
WS-C3650-24TS-E ships with one PWR-C2-250WAC power supply; redundancy requires a second internal power supply. The second bay is empty in the standard configuration, and the sole installed PWR-C2-250WAC belongs in bay 1. A second PWR-C2-250WAC= can be specified when redundant AC power is required.
One rack unit is required for the Catalyst 3650 24-port data switch, whose chassis measures 44 mm high, 445 mm wide, and 448 mm deep and weighs 6.87 kg. RACK-KIT-T1= is the rack-mount kit, while 4PT-KIT-T1= provides extension rails and brackets for four-point mounting.
WS-C3650-24TS-E omits PoE+, whereas WS-C3650-24PS-E powers PoE+ endpoints from a 390W shared budget. Both discontinued models have 24 Gigabit access ports, four 1G uplinks, and IP Services. The data-only version matches independently powered devices; the PoE+ version matches existing powered-endpoint deployments requiring like-for-like spares.
WS-C3650-24TS-E includes IP Services, while WS-C3650-24TS-S includes IP Base. IP Services enables full OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4, and IS-ISv4; IP Base provides OSPF for routed access and EIGRP Stub. Both are discontinued data-only configurations. The IP Services model addresses advanced routing requirements; the IP Base model matches existing routed-access spares.
C9300L-24T-4G-A is the current replacement, while WS-C3650-24TS-E reached end of sale on October 31, 2021. Both configurations have 24 data ports and four 1G uplinks. The newer model suits migration purchases; the discontinued model suits existing-hardware spares where the October 31, 2026 Cisco support cutoff is acceptable.
WS-C3650-24TS-E-RF is Cisco's remanufactured version of WS-C3650-24TS-E, not ORM Systems' certified refurbished condition. ORM-certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with firmware verified and configurations wiped to factory default. These are different refurbishment channels; the Cisco Refresh part number does not describe the testing performed on an ORM-certified refurbished unit.
