160 Gbps switching capacity describes the hardware switching fabric. 101.2 Mpps forwarding performance applies when the chassis is configured with two 10GbE uplinks, not an unpopulated uplink bay. 435W of shared PoE power requires allocation across connected devices; the 30W per-port ceiling does not mean every port can receive that allocation simultaneously. Static routing supports 16 routes under LAN Base, while OSPF and BGP require higher software feature sets. WS-C3750X-48P-L carries 256 MB of DRAM and 64 MB of flash for software and configuration storage. The MAC address capacity reaches 12000 entries with the VLAN template. The hardware maximum of 11000 unicast routes requires the routing template, which LAN Base cannot use. RSTP and MSTP support spanning-tree operation, while LACP supports link aggregation. WS-C3750X-48P-L identifies a Catalyst 3750-X switch with 48 Gigabit PoE+ access ports and LAN Base software. WS-C3750X identifies the family, 48 identifies the access-port count, P identifies the powered configuration, and L identifies LAN Base. The configuration includes C3KX-PWR-715WAC but does not include a port-bearing uplink module.
WS-C3750X-48P-L supports the browser-based device manager, Cisco IOS CLI, Cisco Network Assistant, CiscoWorks LMS, and SNMP management. CLI access uses console connections, Telnet, or SSH with a cryptographic image. A separate Ethernet management port provides out-of-band connectivity; select the management method and appropriate software image before staging.
WS-C3750X-48P-L provides a shared 435W PoE budget with its standard C3KX-PWR-715WAC supply, while each PoE+ port supports 30W. The 48-port Gigabit PoE+ access switch consumes 134.9W at zero traffic with C3KX-NM-1G installed and no PoE endpoint load. At full traffic under that same configuration, consumption is 133.9W.
