CWDM4 stands for Coarse Wavelength Division Multiplexing with four wavelengths (1271 nm, 1291 nm, 1311 nm, 1331 nm), enabling four 25 Gbps channels over a single fiber pair.
It requires standard single-mode fiber (SMF) with duplex LC connectors for both transmit and receive channels.
