The ASR 903 RSP1b-55 is Cisco’s high-performance control and forwarding engine for the ASR 903 router, designed to deliver scalable edge and metro routing with advanced MPLS, BGP and QoS features.
The RSP1b-55 delivers up to 55 million packets per second (Mpps) forwarding, up to 200 Gbps switching capacity, and support for millions of IPv4/IPv6 routes for large-scale deployments.
The RSP1b-55 supports all Cisco ASR 903 line cards, including 1-port to 8-port Gigabit Ethernet and 10-Gigabit Ethernet MLPS line modules.
It enables in-service software upgrades, 1:1 control-plane redundancy and hierarchical QoS, allowing seamless growth from small edge sites to large metro aggregation points.
The RSP1b-55 supports OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, MPLS, VRF-Lite, IPv4/IPv6 unicast and multicast routing, as well as Segment Routing and EVPN.
