C9200-48PB-A operates as a segmented access switch where separate user, device, and operational domains terminate on the same 48-port PoE+ platform. Network teams map access ports into VLANs, VRFs, security groups, and routed access paths supported by Network Advantage and the enhanced VRF SKU variant. The switch exchanges policy and assurance data with Cisco Catalyst Center and Cisco ISE in SD-Access aligned designs. C9200-48PB-A identifies Catalyst 9200, 48 ports, PoE+ with enhanced VRF, and Network Advantage. The PB designation distinguishes the enhanced-VRF configuration from ordinary PoE+ variants.
Catalyst 9200 supports WebUI, local console, CLI over SSH, Cisco Catalyst Center and the Meraki dashboard. NETCONF and RESTCONF support API-driven configuration; cloud configuration behavior depends on the selected management mode.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Catalyst 9200. C9200-48PB-A remains distinct from the software releases and subscription products that have their own retirement milestones.
