Fanless Copper Access With Dedicated Fiber Connections

CBS350-16T-2G-NA combines fanless operation with 16 Gigabit copper access ports and two fixed Gigabit SFP uplinks in a compact desktop chassis. Managed Layer 2+ switching places the model in the Cisco Business 350 family for small-office computer, printer and server connectivity. The discontinued CBS350-16P-2G-NA adds PoE+ with a shared 120W endpoint power budget; the non-PoE configuration requires endpoints to use their own power sources. Dedicated fiber cages do not share connections with the copper access ports. As part of the Cisco Business portfolio, the model provides VLAN segmentation, traffic prioritization and network admission control for the local workgroup, rather than a removable card bay for uplink expansion.

CBS350-16T-2G-NA price for new stock is $490.35, a 50% saving from the Cisco list price of $980.70. CBS350-16T-2G-NA refurb price is $258.29. CBS350-16T-2G-NA is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

Technical Details

36 Gbps switching capacity provides nonblocking forwarding across the built-in Ethernet interfaces. 26.78 Mpps forwarding at a 64-byte packet size sets the small-packet processing ceiling. Static IPv4 routing supports 990 static routes, RIP v2 exchanges routes dynamically, and PBR selects next hops using IPv4 or IPv6 ACLs. STP, RSTP and MSTP control forwarding loops; LACP combines physical links into logical groups. CBS350-16T-2G-NA carries 512 MB DRAM and 256 MB flash for control software and stored images, with a 1.5 MB packet buffer shared across ports. Browser access uses HTTP or HTTPS, while the Textview CLI supports console access and remote sessions over SSH or Telnet. SNMP provides remote monitoring. DHCP snooping, IP Source Guard and dynamic ARP inspection enforce address-binding checks, and IPv6 First Hop Security adds RA guard and DHCPv6 guard. 18.63W worst-case consumption at 110V supplies the power figure for electrical sizing. Hardware stacking is unavailable on this model.

Ordering

ORM Systems supplies CBS350-16T-2G-NA new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on certified refurbished units; 30-day returns apply to every condition, subject to terms. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed links on every port, optics bay recognition, PSU status and clean boot; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. Specify the condition and quantity on your PO; enterprise and volume orders are accepted, government Net-30 terms are available, and RMA includes advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA in the UK, EU, US and MEA.

Buying Notes

Buying NotesKey Specs

Security maintenance has ended

CBS350-16T-2G-NA requires a lifecycle decision before the PO: end of sale was October 29, 2024, and security remedies ended October 29, 2025. C1300-16T-2G is the current migration model.

Order fiber optics separately

Matched uplink optics require their own PO line: MGBSX1 for multimode fiber or MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber. CBS350-16T-2G-NA ships with a power cord and mounting kit rather than optical transceivers.

Best For

Workgroup Gateway Consolidation

When a small office needs local communication between separate workgroups, the Cisco Business 350 can route between VLAN interfaces rather than sending every internal flow through the upstream router. The ceiling is 128 IP interfaces; specify the interface plan and gateway responsibilities before ordering.

Multi-Office Configuration Baselines

When multiple offices need a common configuration baseline, text-editable configuration files and Cisco Network Plug and Play support repeatable staging of the Cisco Business 350. The embedded Cisco Business Dashboard Probe removes a separate local probe appliance from the equipment list; specify the management workflow and configuration ownership before the PO.

Packet Capture Staging

When a staging bench needs packet visibility before a production change, port mirroring can send traffic from up to eight source ports to one analyzer port. The Cisco Business 350 also supports VLAN mirroring for the same inspection workflow; identify the capture port and required analyzer connection before ordering.

Not Suitable If

PoE+ power for connected endpoints

CBS350-16T-2G-NA supplies data connections without PoE. C1300-16P-2G is the current 16-port PoE migration option, also carrying two Gigabit SFP uplinks.

10G uplinks to distribution

CBS350-16T-2G-NA has two built-in 1G SFP uplinks and no 10G uplink expansion option. A required 10G distribution link exceeds this model's fixed uplink capability.

A shared hardware forwarding stack

CBS350-16T-2G-NA does not support hardware stacking. Cisco Business Dashboard management does not turn standalone units into a shared data plane or enable cross-stack forwarding.

Security remedies beyond October 2025

CBS350-16T-2G-NA reached the end of vulnerability and security support on October 29, 2025. C1300-16T-2G is the current migration model with the same stated port configuration.

Questions & Answers

What does the part number CBS350-16T-2G-NA mean?

CBS350-16T-2G-NA identifies a Cisco Business 350 managed switch: CBS350 names the family, 16 is the copper-port count, T identifies the non-PoE copper configuration, and 2G identifies two Gigabit SFP uplinks. NA is the regional ordering suffix covering the United States, Canada, Mexico and additional Latin American markets.

How is CBS350-16T-2G-NA managed?

CBS350-16T-2G-NA supports a web UI over HTTP or HTTPS, CLI access through the console or SSH and Telnet, Cisco Business Dashboard, the Cisco Business mobile app, and SNMP. Cisco Network Plug and Play provides provisioning, while the embedded Dashboard Probe avoids a separate local probe appliance.

Does CBS350-16T-2G-NA provide PoE+ power?

No, CBS350-16T-2G-NA does not provide PoE or PoE+ output through its copper ports. Connected phones, cameras and wireless devices need another power source. The internal AC supply powers the switch itself; it does not create an endpoint power budget or enable PoE through a software setting.

Which optics work with Cisco Business 350 Gigabit SFP uplinks?

Cisco Business 350 Gigabit SFP uplinks support MGBSX1 for multimode fiber and MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber. MGBSX1 supports a maximum distance of 500 m, while MGBLX1 supports 10 km. Match the selected transceiver to the installed fiber and the far-end connection; optical transceivers are ordered separately.

What routing features does the Cisco Business 350 support?

The Cisco Business 350 supports static IPv4 routing, RIP v2 and PBR, with IPv6 routing also available. Static IPv4 configuration supports 990 static routes and 128 IP interfaces. PBR directs traffic to selected next hops using IPv4 or IPv6 ACLs; the static-route ceiling is not a combined route-table total.

Can CBS350-16T-2G-NA join a hardware stack?

No, CBS350-16T-2G-NA cannot join a hardware stack; hardware stacking is restricted to other Cisco Business 350 models. This model remains a standalone forwarding device. Centralized administration through Cisco Business Dashboard does not add stack membership, a unified forwarding plane or cross-stack link aggregation to its hardware.

Is Cisco CBS350-16T-2G-NA a desktop or rack switch?

Cisco CBS350-16T-2G-NA is a desktop-sized switch, measuring 268 mm wide, 272 mm deep and 44 mm high, with a mounting kit included for rack installation. The chassis is not full 19-inch width; distinguish the switch's desktop form factor from the included rack-mounting hardware when specifying mechanical requirements.

What is the lifecycle status of CBS350-16T-2G-NA?

CBS350-16T-2G-NA is discontinued: end of sale was October 29, 2024, and C1300-16T-2G is its migration model. Software maintenance releases, vulnerability remedies and included phone support ended October 29, 2025. The final date for eligible Cisco service and warranty support is October 31, 2029.

Which older switch does CBS350-16T-2G-NA replace?

CBS350-16T-2G-NA replaces the discontinued SG350-20-K9-NA, which reached end of sale on October 30, 2021. The older model is described as a 20-port Gigabit switch; the replacement has 16 copper access ports and two SFP uplinks. SG350-20-K9-NA reaches its final support date on October 31, 2026.

What conditions and warranty does ORM Systems offer for CBS350-16T-2G-NA?

ORM Systems offers CBS350-16T-2G-NA new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty, or certified refurbished with up to 1 year. Both conditions have 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's separate limited lifetime hardware warranty is subject to eligibility and cannot extend beyond the final support date of October 31, 2029.

What is the difference between CBS350-16T-2G-NA and CBS350-16P-2G-NA?

CBS350-16P-2G-NA supplies PoE+ through its 16 copper ports with a shared 120W budget, while CBS350-16T-2G-NA supplies no endpoint power. Both models are discontinued. The powered model suits retained PoE installations; the non-PoE model suits equipment with its own power source.

What is the difference between CBS350-16T-2G-NA and CBS350-16T-E-2G-NA?

CBS350-16T-2G-NA connects directly to AC power through an internal supply, whereas CBS350-16T-E-2G-NA uses an external supply. Both models are discontinued. The internal-supply model suits orders avoiding a separate adapter; the external-supply model suits installed environments standardized around an externally powered switch.

What is the difference between CBS350-16T-2G-NA and C1300-16T-2G?

CBS350-16T-2G-NA is discontinued after its October 29, 2024 end-of-sale milestone, while C1300-16T-2G is the current migration model. Both have 16 Gigabit copper ports and two Gigabit SFP uplinks. CBS350 buyers are matching an installed model; Catalyst 1300 buyers are selecting the named successor for new procurement.

How much power does the Cisco Business 350 16-port non-PoE switch use?

The Cisco Business 350 16-port non-PoE switch CBS350-16T-2G-NA consumes 18.63W worst case at 110V and 18.37W at 220V. Its internal universal AC supply accepts 100-240V at 50-60 Hz. These figures cover the switch itself, without a PoE allocation for connected endpoints.
