Managed Access for Small Business Networks

CBS350-48P-4X-NA combines 48 Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ access ports with four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks in a Rack-Mount 1U chassis. This managed Layer 2+ switch serves small-business networks connecting computers, IP phones, wireless access points and surveillance cameras. The uplink architecture uses built-in transceiver slots rather than an expansion bay, so selecting an uplink does not require a removable network module. Cisco Business 350 Series Managed Switches provide switching, static routing and RIP v2 within the same hardware purchase. The discontinued CBS350-48FP-4X-NA offers a higher endpoint-power budget for buyers comparing otherwise similar access configurations. This 48-port Gigabit PoE+ switch separates copper endpoint connections from fiber aggregation links without changing the native access-port speed.

CBS350-48P-4X-NA price for new stock is $1,813.35, a 50% saving from the Cisco list price of $3,626.70. CBS350-48P-4X-NA refurb price is $1,260.00. CBS350-48P-4X-NA is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

Technical Details

176 Gbps switching capacity provides nonblocking forwarding across the access and uplink interfaces. 130.94 Mpps forwarding performance describes processing of 64-byte packets, separating packet-handling capacity from bandwidth. 370W of shared PoE power requires allocation across connected endpoints rather than unrestricted maximum output on every powered port. Static routing, RIP v2 and PBR support local subnet forwarding and next-hop selection; the routing feature set does not provide an enterprise routing-license upgrade path. CBS350-48P-4X-NA uses 512 MB of DRAM and 256 MB of flash for its operating software and configuration. A dynamically shared 3 MB packet buffer accommodates traffic across the ports. Browser access, a scriptable CLI and SNMP provide local administration, while Cisco Business Dashboard and the Cisco Business mobile app provide additional management paths. A single fan supplies active cooling, and scheduled PoE operation allows administrators to control when endpoint power is enabled.

Ordering

Specify CBS350-48P-4X-NA in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, and include the required SFP-10G-SR or SFP-10G-LR transceiver quantities on the PO. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with power-on and POST, rated-speed port links, clean boot, optics recognition, PSU and fan status checked; PoE output is verified under load on every powered port, firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. ORM warranties are up to 3-year extended for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns in every condition, terms apply. For enterprise and volume orders, PO acceptance, government Net-30 and RMA with advance replacement accompany regional stock and RMA coverage across the UK, EU, US and MEA.

Buying Notes

Buying NotesKey Specs

No operating subscription required

CBS350-48P-4X-NA requires no separate license or subscription purchase to operate. All switch features accompany the hardware purchase, so an ORM order does not require a minimum-term switch software subscription.

Shared endpoint power allocation

CBS350-48P-4X-NA requires endpoint-level power sizing: 48 × 30W equals 1440W, exceeding the shared 370W allocation. Specify endpoint power requirements before the PO rather than assuming simultaneous maximum output.

Discontinued hardware procurement

CBS350-48P-4X-NA orders are for discontinued hardware following its October 29, 2024 end-of-sale milestone. Specify this exact model for existing installations, or use C1300-48P-4X for the current migration path.

Best For

Branch Configuration Rollout

A branch rollout using centrally maintained configurations can use DHCP-assisted autoconfiguration and downloadable configuration files instead of treating each installation as a separate manual build. DHCP options 66 and 67 are supported within the provisioning feature set. Specify the configuration delivery method and staging checks before issuing the purchase order.

Local Subnet Routing

A small-business installation keeping subnet forwarding within the access equipment can configure IP interfaces on physical ports, VLAN interfaces, link aggregation groups or loopback interfaces. The switch supports 128 IP interfaces. Establish the required interface layout and next-hop behavior before specifying the configuration and hardware quantities on the purchase order.

Stack Interconnect Planning

An existing installation adding another stack member must account for interconnect topology and physical separation before ordering connectivity. Ring and chain arrangements are supported, and SFP-H10GB-CU3M provides a supported 3 m 10G copper connection. Specify the topology, cable quantities and SFP-H10GB-CU3M reach against the actual equipment layout before the purchase order.

Not Suitable If

60W power on individual ports

CBS350-48P-4X-NA supplies PoE+ with a 30W per-port ceiling. Endpoints requiring 60W cannot receive their required power from these access ports, regardless of the remaining shared budget.

Continued Cisco security maintenance

Security maintenance ended October 29, 2025. C1300-48P-4X is the current migration model for buyers requiring a replacement rather than continued deployment of discontinued Business 350 hardware.

How is CBS350-48P-4X-NA managed?

CBS350-48P-4X-NA supports a browser-based HTTP or HTTPS interface, CLI access through its console or SSH and Telnet, SNMP, Cisco Business Dashboard and the Cisco Business mobile app. Dashboard support includes an embedded probe. Choose the administrative path and access controls before integrating the switch into an existing management environment.

Is CBS350-48P-4X-NA discontinued?

Yes, CBS350-48P-4X-NA reached end of sale on October 29, 2024, with C1300-48P-4X as its migration model. Software maintenance and security maintenance ended October 29, 2025. The last date of applicable Cisco support is October 31, 2029, subject to entitlement and warranty terms. Existing reseller inventory is distinct from Cisco orderability.

What conditions and warranties does ORM Systems offer for CBS350-48P-4X-NA?

ORM Systems offers CBS350-48P-4X-NA new sealed with up to a 3-year extended warranty or certified refurbished with up to 1 year. Both conditions have 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco’s separate enhanced limited lifetime hardware warranty is bounded by October 31, 2029, its last support date. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested.

Does CBS350-48P-4X-NA require a software license or subscription?

No, CBS350-48P-4X-NA requires no separately purchased switch license or subscription, and its features accompany the hardware purchase. There are no switch license tiers or minimum subscription terms to add to the PO. The same operating-subscription requirement remains absent when ordering an ORM certified refurbished unit.

Which older switches does CBS350-48P-4X-NA replace?

CBS350-48P-4X-NA replaces SG350X-48P-K9-NA and SG550X-48P-K9-NA in their respective migration paths. SG350X-48P-K9-NA reached end of sale on October 30, 2021, and SG550X-48P-K9-NA on July 30, 2022. CBS350-48P-4X-NA is also discontinued, so the forward migration path now ends at C1300-48P-4X rather than stopping at Business 350 hardware.

How much PoE power does CBS350-48P-4X-NA provide?

CBS350-48P-4X-NA provides a shared 370W PoE budget across 48 powered Gigabit access ports, with PoE+ supporting 30W per port. The shared budget does not support every port drawing its maximum simultaneously. Size the combined endpoint allocation and individual device requirements before specifying phones, cameras or access points on the order.

Which 10G uplink optics work with the Business 350 switch?

The Business 350 switch supports SFP-10G-SR for multimode fiber and SFP-10G-LR for single-mode fiber in its 10G SFP+ uplinks. CBS350-48P-4X-NA has four built-in uplink slots rather than a removable uplink card. Specify the chosen transceiver PID, fiber type and link reach with the switch order.

How many Business 350 switches can form a hardware stack?

Business 350 hardware stacking supports four members on eligible models, including CBS350-48P-4X-NA, using 10G interconnects in ring or chain arrangements. Supported copper connections include SFP-H10GB-CU1M, SFP-H10GB-CU3M and SFP-H10GB-CU5M for 1 m, 3 m and 5 m links. Specify interconnect quantities and physical reach before ordering the stack connections.

What routing capabilities does the Business 350 series provide?

Business 350 provides static IPv4 routing, IPv6 routing, RIP v2 and PBR, with 990 static routes and 128 IP interfaces. Interfaces can be configured on physical ports, link aggregation groups, VLANs or loopbacks. These capabilities accompany the hardware purchase rather than requiring an additional network-license tier.
