The Fortinet FWB-4000E is a high-performance web application firewall (WAF) delivering advanced threat protection, SSL/TLS inspection, bot mitigation, API security and DDoS defense in a 2RU, carrier-grade appliance.
The FWB-4000E features 8x GE RJ45 bypass ports, 4x GE SFP ports, 2x 10G SFP+ bypass ports, 2x 10G SFP+ ports, dual AC power supplies and 4 TB of onboard SSD storage for logs and analytics.
The FWB-4000E delivers up to 48 Gbps HTTP inspection, 11 Gbps TLS inspection, 34 Gbps IPS throughput, 1.2 M new sessions per second and supports up to 32 million concurrent sessions.
Using a combination of signature-based IPS, anomaly detection, AI-driven bot mitigation and contextual profiling, the FWB-4000E blocks SQL injection, XSS, CSRF and other OWASP Top 10 attacks in real time.
