The MX480-P3-SCBE2-AC is a fully redundant, rack-mountable MX480 router with dual SCBE2 switch control boards, dual RE-S-1800X4-16G route engines, redundant AC power supplies, and fan trays, preconfigured and 'built to stock' for rapid deployment.
It delivers up to 480 Gbps of switching capacity per SCBE2 for a total of 960 Gbps, supports up to 20 Tbps of packet forwarding per system, and scales to millions of routes for large-scale networks.
The MX480 accepts all PIM-3 and PIM-2 Enhanced interface modules, including 1/10/40/100 GbE and 1/10 GbE subscriber PICs, enabling flexible port density and media options.
Dual SCBE2 switch control boards run in active/standby mode with stateful failover, guaranteeing uninterrupted packet forwarding and zero-loss switchover during maintenance or faults.
