400 Gbps hardware forwarding capacity and 297 Mpps forwarding performance characterize the extender hardware, rather than the bandwidth available through its fabric connections. Jumbo frames reach 9216 bytes for workloads requiring larger Ethernet frames. N2K-B22FTS-P supports server PortChannel connections using LACP or static configuration, subject to the parent switch configuration. Fabric interfaces connect directly to the parent and cannot serve as general-purpose server connections. The Nexus B22F receives configuration through the fabric connection and does not retain a local configuration. Host-to-host traffic also travels through the parent, so local switching cannot preserve server communication independently of that upstream connection.

When consolidating traffic from blade servers, the 2:1 host-to-fabric oversubscription requires an uplink plan based on simultaneous workload demand. Adding the module alone does not remove upstream contention. Before the purchase order, size the active fabric connections against the expected server traffic pattern.
When staging server adapter teams, a host PortChannel can combine eight interfaces. Adapter settings and the parent configuration must agree before production attachment.
