83000 Gbps maximum system switching capacity represents a configured-chassis ceiling, not the capability of an empty chassis. N77-C7718 accepts three to six N77-C7718-FAB-2 fabric modules. Front-to-back airflow supports hot-aisle and cold-aisle arrangements. OSPF, BGP, IS-IS, EIGRP and PIM require the N77-LAN1K9 Enterprise Services Package; the chassis part number does not establish those software entitlements. A populated system runs NX-OS and supports centralized management through Cisco Data Center Network Manager.
