The processor operates at a 2.7 GHz base frequency (up to 4.0 GHz Turbo), offers 28 cores and 56 threads, 38.5 MB L3 cache, 205 W TDP, supports DDR4-2933 MHz memory and fits the LGA 3647 socket.
This kit is compatible with HPE ProLiant DL380 Gen10 servers equipped with LGA 3647 CPU sockets, a supported system board, and minimum BIOS version U29 or later.
Power off and unplug the server, open the chassis, remove the existing heatsink, seat the Xeon-Platinum 8280M into the LGA 3647 socket, secure the retention mechanism, apply thermal interface material, reattach the heatsink, then close the chassis and power on.
