The HPE NS CS420G-X2 Kit (Q8D47A) includes dual active-active controllers, redundant 800W Platinum power supplies, four 2.5" drive trays, four SSD carriers, SAS interconnect cables, mounting brackets, and all required installation hardware.
The CS420G-X2 Kit is compatible with HPE ProLiant Gen9 and Gen10 rack and tower servers that support modular SAS storage controllers, providing seamless integration with existing HPE infrastructures.
Power down the server, remove the existing drive cage, install the CS420G-X2 controllers into the designated bays, secure power supplies, mount HDD/SSD carriers, connect SAS cables, and then power up to configure via HPE Smart Storage Administrator.
The CS420G-X2 controller delivers up to 12 Gb/s SAS per port, hardware-accelerated caching, and dual RAID engines in active-active mode, offering high throughput, low latency, and optimized I/O for enterprise workloads.
