SG110D-05-NA is a fanless, unmanaged Layer 2 desktop switch with five Gigabit Ethernet copper connections for small-business office equipment. The non-PoE design connects independently powered endpoints, while an ordinary Ethernet port provides the upstream connection rather than a dedicated uplink. Cisco 110 Series Unmanaged Switches operate without configuration. The discontinued SG110D-08HP-NA adds powered connections and greater port density, making endpoint power requirements an important distinction when identifying legacy replacement stock.

10 Gbps switching capacity provides the switching fabric for the installed connections. 7.4 Mpps forwarding handles 64-byte packets. SG110D-05-NA automatically negotiates link speed and duplex, and automatic cable detection accommodates connection orientation. Traffic handling includes four hardware queues, priority queuing, and Weighted Round-Robin scheduling. Cable diagnostics and loop detection operate automatically; damaged packets are rejected through store-and-forward switching.
ORM Systems offers SG110D-05-NA new sealed or certified refurbished; refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, every port linking at rated speed, and rated output from the supplied adapter. New units carry up to 3-year extended warranty coverage and certified refurbished units up to 1 year, with 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply, and Cisco's separate limited lifetime coverage ends October 31, 2026. Specify condition, quantity, and the required regional power connection on the purchase order. For enterprise and volume orders, PO is accepted, Net-30 is available for government, and RMA includes advance replacement, with regional stock and RMA across the UK, EU, US, and MEA.

When an office adds wired computers and printers, include cabling in the purchasing scope rather than treating the switch as the complete connection order. Category 5e or better cabling supports the copper connections. Count endpoint cables and the upstream cable, then specify the required patch leads on the PO.
When a bench replacement must match an existing SG100D-05 installation, confirm the replacement identity before copying the old equipment description into a purchase request. SG110D-05-NA follows that legacy desktop model. Record the full regional part number and verify the required quantity against the installed spare list before issuing the PO.
Power over Ethernet for endpoints
SG110D-05-NA does not supply endpoint power. Current CBS110-8PP-D-NA provides partial PoE and eight Gigabit ports, changing both the power arrangement and connection count.
Fiber or dedicated high-speed uplinks
SG110D-05-NA provides copper Gigabit connections without optical cages or separate uplink interfaces. Optical modules cannot add a fiber connection to this desktop chassis.
Cisco service beyond October 2026
Cisco service for SG110D-05-NA ends October 31, 2026. Current CBS110-5T-D-NA is the replacement for buyers excluding discontinued hardware from new purchase orders.

SG110D identifies the 110 Series Gigabit desktop model, 05 identifies five ports, and NA is the regional ordering suffix. SG110D-05-NA covers the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and other Latin American markets. The complete regional part number distinguishes the order from other regional versions.
Cisco 110 Series desktop switches operate without configuration: connect power and Ethernet cables to begin forwarding traffic. Port speed and duplex adjust automatically. The unmanaged operating model suits purchases where the switch is expected to provide basic wired connectivity without a separate configuration task.
SG110D-05-NA is discontinued, with an end-of-sale date of October 30, 2021, and a last date of support of October 31, 2026. Cisco factory sales have ended. Remaining inventory should be evaluated as legacy stock, with the support deadline considered separately from the condition offered.
ORM Systems offers SG110D-05-NA new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to 3-year extended coverage for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Returns are 30 days for either condition; terms apply. Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty is separate, with Cisco service ending October 31, 2026.
SG110D-05-NA follows the SG100D-05 in the five-port Gigabit desktop position. For an existing spare list, retain the complete regional order number rather than treating the older model name as the orderable replacement. Confirm the chassis identity and regional version when preparing a replacement purchase order.
SG110D-08HP-NA adds PoE connections and eight Gigabit ports, whereas SG110D-05-NA has five non-PoE ports. Both models are discontinued. The smaller model addresses independently powered equipment; the powered-port model addresses legacy installations requiring Ethernet power, but neither should be represented as a current Cisco factory-sale product.
SG110-16-NA uses an internal AC supply, while SG110D-05-NA uses an external adapter. Both models are discontinued. The desktop unit addresses orders retaining an external power arrangement; SG110-16-NA addresses an internal-supply requirement and also increases connection count to 16, so the physical equipment requirement changes with the power choice.
CBS110-5T-D-NA is the current replacement for discontinued SG110D-05-NA; both occupy the five-port Gigabit desktop role. The distinction is purchasing lifecycle rather than a different port count. SG110D-05-NA addresses an exact legacy-hardware requirement, while CBS110-5T-D-NA addresses procurement that calls for the current replacement instead of discontinued stock.
SG110D-05-NA cannot accept fiber uplinks because the chassis has copper Ethernet connections and no optical cages. An upstream Ethernet connection uses an ordinary copper port. If the purchase requires an optical connection at the switch itself, that requirement excludes this model rather than creating an additional transceiver order.
SG110D-05-NA requires an external adapter delivering 12V DC at 1A. That adapter output is a supply requirement, not a statement of switch power consumption. Specify a complete power arrangement with the order, and confirm that the regional mains connection matches the installation location before accepting replacement stock.
