WS-C3850-48F-L provides Gigabit PoE+ access ports; the part number does not select an installed uplink module, which is ordered separately.
The Catalyst 3850 is managed through its embedded web UI, console CLI, remote CLI over SSH or Telnet, SNMP, and Cisco Prime Infrastructure. A StackWise-480 stack shares a management identity through its active member. Specify the required access methods and management configuration when preparing the unit for deployment.

StackWise-480 stacks nine Catalyst 3850 members, and a LAN Base member must join a LAN Base stack rather than a mixed software-tier stack. WS-C3850-48F-L supports limited static routing under LAN Base, including 16 user-configured static routes on SVIs in addition to management default routes. WS-C3850-48F-L includes one PWR-C1-1100WAC, so redundant internal power is optional rather than supplied as standard.
