The HPE XL230k Gen10 Xeon-P 8153 Rear Kit (SKU 878702-B21) is a factory-certified rear I/O and cooling module designed to upgrade or replace the backplane assembly on HPE XL230k Gen10 servers equipped with Intel Xeon Platinum 8153 processors.
The 878702-B21 Rear Kit is fully compatible with HPE XL230k Gen10 rack servers that house Intel Xeon-P 8153 CPUs and use the matching chassis rear configuration.
The kit includes the rear chassis assembly, integrated I/O daughterboard, backplane connectors, pre-installed cooling fans and necessary mounting hardware for a plug-and-play upgrade.
To install, power down the server, remove the existing rear module, align the new 878702-B21 assembly with chassis guide rails, secure it with captive screws and reconnect all internal cables per the HPE service guide.
