The HP P2000 G3 SAS MSA Controller (AW592B) is a dual-controller module that delivers 6Gb/s SAS connectivity, high availability and enterprise-class management for HP MSA storage arrays.
The AW592B controller is compatible with HP MSA 2040, 2050 and earlier P2000 G3 chassis, enabling seamless integration and performance upgrades.
Each P2000 G3 SAS controller offers four internal 6Gb/s SAS host ports, supporting up to eight ports in a dual-controller configuration.
By attaching up to four SAS expansion enclosures, the controller supports up to 96 drives and multiple petabytes of raw capacity, depending on drive size.
