The Cisco 2851-H-VSEC/K9 is a high-performance branch router offering hardware-accelerated AIM-VPN2/SSL encryption, dual PVDM2 DSP slots for voice processing, CCME with SRST for call resiliency, AIS application inspection, and a forwarding rate of 256 kpps with 512 MB DRAM.
AIM-VPN2/SSL provides hardware-based IPsec and SSL VPN acceleration, enabling up to 180 Mbps of encrypted throughput and secure remote access with minimal CPU overhead.
PVDM2 is Cisco’s DSP module family for voice and conferencing. The 2851 includes two PVDM2 slots, each supporting up to 30 G.711 or 16 G.729 calls, for a total of 60 G.711 or 32 G.729 simultaneous voice channels.
Cisco CallManager Express (CCME) with Survivable Remote Site Telephony (SRST) allows the 2851 to host call processing locally and automatically fail over during WAN outages, maintaining dial-tone and call routing.
