Treat the replacement as a configuration migration rather than a chassis swap, and verify the required connection media before placing the order.
When adding access points, cameras, or videophones, each powered endpoint must fit the 30W per-port limit as well as the shared switch allocation. Mixed endpoint loads need a port-by-port power schedule rather than an assumption that every device can draw its maximum simultaneously. Size the endpoint list before issuing the PO.
When standardizing several small-office installations, text-editable configuration files can be downloaded to another switch, and the scriptable CLI supports privilege levels 1 and 15. Prepare the reusable configuration and access policy before ordering site quantities. Confirm who will maintain the configuration and which privilege level each administrator needs.
