Replacement planning for discontinued SG220-50P-K9-NA or SF220-48P-K9-NA requires the North American CBS220-48P-4G-NA order variant. The older products reached end of sale on July 30, 2022. Keep the predecessor identity and destination region together in the procurement record, then specify the complete regional PID before issuing the PO.
Multiple small-business sites using Cisco Business Dashboard can directly manage this family without a separate hardware or virtual-machine Dashboard Probe at each location. A dedicated probe appliance is therefore unnecessary for this management connection. Confirm the intended dashboard and mobile-app workflow before standardizing the switch purchase order across locations.
Predeployment staging that requires firmware recovery can use the switch's dual images and browser-based or TFTP upgrades. Text-editable configuration files can also be downloaded to another switch for repeated setup. CBS220-48P-4G identifies a Cisco Business 220 switch: CBS220 is the family, 48 is the copper port count, P marks the powered configuration with a 382W budget, and 4G identifies four Gigabit SFP uplinks. The model has no separate license-tier suffix; regional ordering variants add a destination suffix.
CBS220-48P-4G supports an HTTP/HTTPS web interface, a full CLI over SSH or Telnet, Cisco Business Dashboard, the Cisco Business mobile app, and SNMP. Browser management handles configuration and monitoring; the CLI supports scripting. These are management choices for the same smart-managed hardware, not different licensed switch editions.
Cisco has not announced an end-of-sale date for Business 220. CBS220-48P-4G belongs to that family, not the earlier Cisco 220 Series Smart Switches. The earlier family reached end of sale on July 30, 2022. That predecessor retirement date does not make this model discontinued.

CBS220-48P-4G has four fixed 1G SFP uplinks. GLC-SX-MMD supports multimode fiber connections up to 550 m, while GLC-LH-SMD supports single-mode fiber connections up to 10 km. Select the transceiver PID for the installed fiber and link distance; neither option changes the uplinks into 10G connections.
