When several sites need a common configuration, Business 220 accepts text-editable configuration files that can be downloaded to another switch. Separate shared settings from site-specific addressing before preparing the rollout batch. Specify the required configuration files and staging responsibilities on the purchase order rather than leaving each site to configure independently.
When a lab purchase includes packet capture for troubleshooting, Business 220 supports four port-mirroring sessions and eight source ports mirrored to one destination port. Native copper access ports stop at 1Gbps. The 10Gbps interfaces provide SFP+ uplink connectivity rather than multigigabit RJ-45 connections for endpoint access.
Inter-VLAN routing within the switch
Business 220 provides Layer 2 switching rather than routing between VLANs. Networks requiring local routed interfaces need routing elsewhere or a different switch.
