CBS250-24FP-4X combines 24 Gigabit Ethernet PoE+ access ports with four fixed 10G SFP+ uplinks in a rack-mount 1U chassis. This Smart Managed, Layer 2+ switch belongs to the Cisco Business 250 Series and supports static routing for small-business networks connecting computers, phones, cameras and wireless access points. The uplinks are built into the chassis rather than supplied through an optional network card. The nearest lower-budget sibling, CBS250-24P-4X, provides 195W for powered endpoints; both models are discontinued. The full-PoE version increases aggregate endpoint-power allocation without changing the access-port count or uplink architecture. A 24-port Gigabit PoE+ access switch remains distinct from a switch with native 10G access ports: the faster interfaces here serve uplink connections.

Static IPv4 routing supports 32 routes, while dynamic routing is unavailable. CBS250-24FP-4X includes 512 MB of DRAM and 256 MB of flash; its dynamically shared packet buffer totals 1.5 MB. STP/RSTP/MSTP provide spanning-tree operation, and LACP supports link aggregation. The address table accommodates 8000 entries, while VLAN configuration supports 255 simultaneously active VLANs. Browser configuration and a scriptable CLI provide local administration options, with SSH available for secure access. The Cisco Business switch also supports dual firmware images and configuration-file transfer, allowing an administrator to prepare software and configuration changes before applying them to the production unit.

When adding phones, cameras and wireless access points in one purchase, endpoint demand needs a complete power schedule rather than an assumption based on port count. When separate workgroups need local communication without dynamic route exchange, the switch supports a static routing configuration with 16 IP interfaces. Interface assignments must account for the intended routed connections rather than only the number of attached devices. A physically stacked switch system
The Business 250 family does not support physical switch stacking. Centralized dashboard management does not combine separate chassis into a hardware stack.

CBS250-24FP-4X identifies a Business 250 switch: CBS250 names the family, 24 identifies the Gigabit access-port count, FP identifies the full-PoE configuration with a 370W budget, and 4X identifies four 10G SFP+ uplinks. Regional ordering adds a suffix; the U.S. variant is CBS250-24FP-4X-NA.
CBS250-24FP-4X supports a web UI over HTTP/HTTPS, full or menu-based CLI, SSH, Telnet, an RJ-45 console, SNMP, Cisco Business Dashboard and the Cisco Business mobile app. SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3 are supported. The embedded Dashboard probe removes the need for a separate on-site probe appliance.

CBS250-24FP-4X provides a shared 370W PoE budget across 24 powered Gigabit ports, with a 30W maximum per port. The budget does not permit every port to deliver its maximum simultaneously. Full PoE identifies the higher-budget configuration, not unrestricted simultaneous maximum output on all powered connections.
The Business 250 24-port full-PoE switch with 4X uplinks provides four fixed SFP+ interfaces supporting 10G and 1G operation. Supported media includes SFP-10G-SR for multimode fiber, SFP-10G-LR for single-mode fiber and SFP-H10GB-CU1M for a 1 m copper connection. Order the required media separately from the switch.
CBS250-24FP-4X supports static IPv4 routing between configured interfaces, with 32 static routes and 16 IP interfaces. This makes its routing capability Layer 2+ under the supplied classification. Dynamic routing is unavailable, so the configuration must explicitly define the required routes and remain within the supported interface and route limits.
Business 250 switches cannot form a physical hardware stack. Cisco Business Dashboard provides centralized management through an embedded probe, but that management arrangement does not create a stacked chassis system. Each switch remains a separate device, so a procurement requirement for physical stacking is not satisfied by this family.
