CBS250-24FP-4G is a Layer 2+ smart managed switch with 24 Gigabit RJ-45 PoE+ access ports and four fixed 1G SFP uplinks in a rack-mount 1U chassis. Cisco Business 250 Series switches serve small-business networks connecting computers, phones, wireless access points and surveillance endpoints. Dedicated fiber interfaces keep the copper access ports available for devices rather than sharing their connectors. Voice VLAN and QoS provide traffic separation and prioritization for voice applications alongside ordinary data connectivity. Compared with discontinued CBS250-24P-4G, the FP configuration provides a higher shared PoE allowance than that model's 195W. The uplink architecture is fixed, so a removable uplink card cannot change the connection speed.

Static IPv4 routing accommodates 32 routes for local subnet forwarding. CBS250-24FP-4G combines 512 MB of DRAM for system operation with 256 MB of flash for image storage; its 1.5 MB packet buffer is shared across all ports. An 8000-entry MAC table bounds address learning, while 255 active VLANs provide the segmentation ceiling. STP/RSTP/MSTP control switching loops, and LACP supports link aggregation. Cisco Business switches offer browser configuration, a scriptable CLI, Dashboard and mobile-app administration, plus SNMP monitoring. CBS250-24FP-4G provides a shared 370W PoE budget across 24 powered ports, with a 30W maximum on an individual port. The aggregate budget prevents all ports from drawing that maximum simultaneously. Size the purchase against each endpoint's power requirement rather than against the powered-port count alone.
CBS250-24FP-4G has four fixed 1G SFP uplinks and supports MGBSX1 for multimode fiber connections reaching 500 m or MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber connections reaching 10 km. Order the transceivers separately and match the fiber type and link distance. These uplinks do not provide 10G connections.
