FSPF provides fabric multipathing, while VSANs and hardware-enforced zoning separate storage traffic. DS-C9710 supports CLI access, SNMPv3 monitoring and centralized NDFC management through installed operating hardware. Front-to-back airflow determines cabinet orientation, and POST plus online diagnostics support hardware checks before production connections are made. Supervisor and switching-fabric selections determine the operating configuration, so a chassis purchase must be distinguished from a complete director assembly.
