An existing SAN with spare DS-13SLT-FAB1 crossbar modules requires the original fabric configuration to remain consistent across its repair inventory. A later-generation fabric bundle is not the same assembly. Specify the installed crossbar PIDs and component quantities on the PO, and reconcile them against the equipment being retained.
A staging environment that must reproduce Cisco SAN-OS 3.0(1) behavior needs hardware and software alignment rather than a chassis-only match. The MDS 9513 supports that release or later, but software generation also affects module compatibility. Specify the target image, control-module inventory and required SAN feature licenses before placing the order.
