N9K-C9372PX-B18Q is a two-switch data center bundle containing eight QSFP-40G-SR-BD transceivers, not a single chassis with an optional optics package. Each rack-mounted 1U switch provides 48 fixed 1/10G SFP+ downlinks and six fixed 40G QSFP+ uplinks. The Nexus 9372PX uses a fixed-port architecture without a removable uplink expansion bay and provides non-PoE connectivity for servers and fabric connections. Base NX-OS functionality provides Layer 2+ operation, including static routing without an advanced routing license. Unlike the discontinued N9K-C9372TX-B18Q copper bundle, this configuration uses SFP+ server-facing interfaces rather than 10GBASE-T ports. Within the Cisco Nexus 9000 family, the Nexus 9300 series serves top-of-rack and middle-of-row data center deployments.
N9K-C9372PX-B18Q price for new stock is $51,975.00. N9K-C9372PX-B18Q refurb price is $30,133.95. N9K-C9372PX-B18Q is in stock and available for next-day dispatch. (terms applied)

1440 Gbps switching capacity provides each chassis with its own internal switching bandwidth. More than 1150 Mpps supports packet forwarding per switch rather than through a shared bundle-wide forwarding engine. 537W maximum input draw sets the peak power allocation for each chassis, compared with 210W typical consumption. N9K-C9372PX-B18Q includes switches with 16 GB of DRAM and 64 GB of SSD storage for the operating image and local files. Maximum resources include 96000 MAC entries and 128000 LPM routes, with achievable scale dependent on the system forwarding mode. OSPF, EIGRP and BGP are license-enabled Layer 3 capabilities, not capabilities established by the hardware bundle name. HTTP/HTTPS API access accepts JSON or XML for remote operations. Separate software processes isolate routing functions and allow process recovery without losing state. Native 100G connectivity is not available.
Specify the complete N9K-C9372PX-B18Q bundle on the purchase order in new sealed or certified refurbished condition. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with every port linked at rated speed, optics bay recognition, PSU and fan status checked, firmware verified, and configuration wiped to factory default. ORM provides up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units or up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, plus 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply; Cisco's original one-year limited hardware coverage ended February 28, 2023. For enterprise and volume orders, PO accepted, Net-30 for government, and RMA with advance replacement are available.

For a hot-aisle installation with network ports facing the exhaust side, match NXA-FAN-30CFM-F fan modules with N9K-PAC-650W-B power supplies. Mixing airflow directions can overheat a chassis and shut it down. Standardize the airflow choice across both switches, and specify the installed modules before the purchase order.
When a staging team needs to load configurations before equipment reaches the rack, each chassis provides two USB ports for saving or loading configuration files and an RS-232 console connection for initial setup. Confirm the configuration-transfer method and the required console accessories before the purchase order.
When a server refresh retains Cisco Nexus 2000 Series fabric extenders, the parent-switch design supports a distributed access arrangement with a maximum of 16 fabric extenders per switch. The usable count depends on the NX-OS release, so match the installed software and existing extender models before specifying the bundle.
100G uplinks to the spine
Each Nexus 9372PX has fixed 40G QSFP+ uplinks without a removable uplink bay. N9K-C93180-FX3-B8C is a current two-switch migration bundle with eight 100G optics.
Active Cisco hardware support coverage
Cisco support for this bundle ended February 28, 2023, regardless of purchase condition. N9K-C93180-FX3-B8C offers a current migration option; service coverage must be arranged separately.

N9K-C9372PX-B18Q identifies a Nexus 9000-family bundle built around the Nexus 9372PX, with two switches and eight QSFP-40G-SR-BD transceivers. N9K identifies the family, C9372PX identifies the switch model, and B18Q identifies this bundle configuration. Each chassis has 48 SFP+ downlinks and six QSFP+ uplinks.
N9K-C9372PX-B18Q is managed through NX-OS CLI access over console, SSH or Telnet, with HTTP/HTTPS API access and Cisco Data Center Network Manager GUI management also available. Cisco ACI provides a separate controller-based operating mode. The intended operating image determines the management workflow used for each chassis.
N9K-C9372PX-B18Q requires separately specified server-facing optics for its 48 SFP+ downlinks on each switch; the included QSFP-40G-SR-BD modules are 40G uplink optics. Additional uplink connections also require compatible transceivers. The six QSFP+ cages per chassis are fixed ports, not removable uplink modules.
The Nexus 9372PX supports static routes, SVIs and HSRP without an additional feature license, while full OSPF, EIGRP and BGP require appropriate entitlements. Baseline operation is therefore Layer 2+; licensed routing adds Layer 3 capability. The 128000-LPM-route resource ceiling depends on forwarding mode and is not a protocol-specific license allowance.
N9K-C9372PX-B18Q supports legacy N93-LAN1K9 licensing, perpetual NX-OS Advantage or DCN Advantage, and DCN Essentials, Advantage or Premier subscriptions with a three-year minimum term. Entitlements apply per chassis rather than to the bundle quantity. Feature activation must match the installed operating image; the hardware part number alone does not identify a purchased software tier.
Yes, each N9K-C9372PX-B18Q chassis accepts two power supplies for 1+1 redundancy. AC choices include N9K-PAC-650W and N9K-PAC-650W-B; UCSC-PSU-930WDC provides port-side-intake DC power. All installed power and fan modules must share the airflow direction. The quotation must identify the actual power supply population and orientation for both chassis.
537W maximum and 210W typical are switch input figures for each Nexus 9372PX chassis, not totals for the bundle. Peak power provisioning must use the maximum figure; the power supply output rating is a separate quantity. Both chassis must be included in the facilities power plan.
Each N9K-C9372PX-B18Q chassis is a rack-mounted 1U switch measuring 44 mm high, 439 mm wide and 571 mm deep. The bundle contains two separate chassis rather than one multi-unit enclosure. Rack planning must also allow for power connections, fiber connections and the chosen airflow direction.
N9K-C9372PX-B18Q is discontinued, with end of sale on February 3, 2018, and last support on February 28, 2023. Cisco software maintenance ended February 3, 2019, and security support ended February 28, 2023. New sealed condition does not restart these dates or restore Cisco factory support.
N9K-C9372PX-B18Q uses 48 SFP+ server-facing ports per chassis, whereas the discontinued N9K-C9372TX-B18Q uses 48 copper 10GBASE-T ports per chassis. Both bundle configurations include two switches and eight QSFP-40G-SR-BD transceivers. The PX version serves SFP+ connectivity requirements; the TX version corresponds to existing BASE-T server cabling.
N9K-C9372PX-B18Q contains two switches and eight QSFP-40G-SR-BD transceivers, whereas discontinued N9K-C9372PX= is a spare chassis supplied without power supplies, fans or the accessory kit. The spare form therefore requires separate hardware completion. The bundle addresses paired-switch procurement; the spare corresponds to chassis-only replacement requirements.
N9K-C93180-FX3-B8C includes eight 100G optics, whereas N9K-C9372PX-B18Q includes eight QSFP-40G-SR-BD 40G transceivers. Both are two-switch bundles, but the Nexus 9372PX bundle is discontinued. The older bundle corresponds to legacy 40G optics requirements; the current Nexus 93180YC-FX3 bundle addresses procurement requiring included 100G optics.
ORM offers N9K-C9372PX-B18Q new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty for new units and up to 1 year for refurbished units. Both conditions include 30-day returns, terms apply. Cisco's original one-year limited hardware warranty no longer provides coverage; Cisco support ended February 28, 2023.
