SF110D-16HP-NA is a fanless, unmanaged Layer 2 desktop switch with sixteen 10/100 Ethernet connections, eight of which supply PoE. Its copper-only connections serve small-business workgroups, IP phones, and compatible wireless access points without a separate uplink module or dedicated uplink interface. An upstream connection uses one of the available Ethernet ports, so reserve that connection when planning endpoint quantities. The Cisco 110 Series provides automatic operation rather than administrator-configured switching. The discontinued SF110D-16 is the non-PoE sibling for comparison with an existing installation. This desktop configuration addresses basic wired connectivity and endpoint power, not Gigabit access or fiber termination.

3.2 Gbps switching capacity defines the switching fabric available to connected devices. 1.4 Mpps forwarding performance uses a 64-byte packet measurement, which provides a separate packet-processing figure for traffic sizing. 64W of shared PoE power must cover the combined demand of the powered endpoints; port availability does not reserve an equal power allocation for each device. Four hardware queues support priority queuing and Weighted Round-Robin traffic handling, allowing automatic prioritization of delay-sensitive traffic. SF110D-16HP-NA supports 9216-byte jumbo frames for compatible traffic between connected devices. Automatic MDI/MDI-X accommodates Ethernet connections without manual crossover selection. The Cisco SF110D-16HP also includes cable diagnostics to help identify cabling faults and loop detection to identify accidental network loops. An operating range of 0°C to 40°C sets the environmental boundary for equipment placement; allow ventilation rather than treating the enclosure as industrial-temperature hardware.
Specify SF110D-16HP-NA in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, with quantities and the required condition on the PO. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, clean boot, rated-speed links on every port, PSU status, and PoE output under load on every powered port. ORM provides up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition; terms apply. For enterprise and volume orders, PO accepted, Net-30 for government, RMA with advance replacement, and regional stock and RMA in the UK, EU, US, and MEA are available.

When a small office replaces separately powered IP phones or access points, endpoint compatibility must be confirmed against 802.3af before choosing the powered connections. Build an endpoint-by-endpoint power schedule, include startup requirements, and specify the intended powered devices and their connection requirements before issuing the purchase order.
For bench staging before shipment to a branch, Category 5e or better cabling is the connection requirement. Match each test lead to the intended endpoint, confirm link negotiation, and include the required Ethernet patch leads in the order rather than assuming existing site cables are suitable.
When purchasing equipment for offices across the Americas, the -NA regional form covers the United States, Canada, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, and the rest of Latin America. Keep the regional suffix on each purchase-order line and confirm the destination country before consolidating quantities into a single regional hardware order.
Gigabit connections for wired endpoints
Copper connections are limited to 100 Mbps. CBS110-16PP-NA provides sixteen Gigabit ports with partial PoE, but its enclosure is wider at 279 mm.
PoE power on every connection
Only eight of the sixteen ports supply PoE. The remaining connections carry data only; an installation requiring sixteen powered endpoints needs a different powered-port allocation.
Fiber connections to upstream equipment
The switch provides copper Ethernet connections without SFP cages. Fiber termination requires other equipment rather than a transceiver added to this desktop switch.

SF110D-16HP-NA identifies a Cisco 110 Series Fast Ethernet desktop PoE switch with sixteen ports and the -NA regional suffix. SF110D identifies the desktop Fast Ethernet model family, 16 indicates the port count, and HP distinguishes the PoE version. The regional form covers the United States, Canada, and additional Latin American markets.
SF110D-16HP-NA operates automatically without configuration: connect power and compatible Ethernet devices to establish links. Port negotiation selects the connection settings automatically. Traffic prioritization, cable diagnostics, and loop detection operate as built-in functions, so commissioning focuses on physical connections and endpoint compatibility rather than entering switch settings.
SF110D-16HP-NA is discontinued, with an end-of-sale date of July 30, 2022, and a last date of Cisco support of July 31, 2027. CBS110-16PP-NA is the replacement. A remaining-stock purchase should match the required support horizon rather than treating the original hardware warranty term as an unlimited service commitment.
SF110D-16HP-NA is offered new sealed or certified refurbished. ORM provides up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on refurbished units, with 30-day returns on either condition; terms apply. Cisco's limited lifetime hardware warranty is separate, subject to eligibility, and Cisco service ends July 31, 2027.
SF110D-16HP-NA has eight PoE-capable ports sharing a 64W power budget. The other eight Ethernet connections do not supply endpoint power. The number of powered devices therefore depends on both available powered connections and combined demand; verify the intended endpoint power requirements before assigning devices to ports.
SF110D-16HP-NA has neither a dedicated Gigabit uplink nor a fiber cage; all sixteen Ethernet connections operate at 10/100 speeds. Connecting upstream equipment consumes one of those copper ports. An SFP transceiver cannot add fiber connectivity, because the enclosure has no corresponding optical interface into which it can be installed.
The Cisco SF110D-16HP desktop switch measures 160 mm wide, 90 mm deep, and 44 mm high, with a weight of 1.36 kg. Its narrow enclosure is a desktop form factor rather than a full-width rack chassis. Check available placement space and ventilation before specifying its installation location.
SF110D-16HP-NA uses an internal universal AC power supply with a 110-240V AC input range at 50-60 Hz. The fixed power arrangement does not provide a redundant supply configuration. Confirm the installation's electrical supply and regional power connection rather than ordering a modular redundant power supply for this enclosure.
The Cisco 110 Series provides cable diagnostics and loop detection to help identify physical cabling problems and accidental network loops. These functions operate automatically alongside normal switching. They assist initial fault isolation, but installation checks still need to distinguish a cabling fault from an incompatible or unpowered endpoint.
SF110D-16HP-NA supplies endpoint power through PoE, whereas SF110D-16 is the non-PoE desktop version. Both are discontinued models with Fast Ethernet connections. Existing installations with independently powered endpoints can use the non-PoE configuration; an installation relying on Ethernet-delivered endpoint power requires the powered version and an endpoint power check.
SF110D-16HP-NA uses an internal AC supply, whereas SF110D-08HP uses an external 48V DC adapter. Both are discontinued desktop PoE models, so this distinction matters when matching replacement stock to existing electrical connections. Adapter-powered installations and installations expecting an internal AC connection require different power arrangements when specifying a spare.
CBS110-16PP-NA provides Gigabit Ethernet connections, whereas SF110D-16HP-NA provides Fast Ethernet connections. CBS110-16PP-NA is the current replacement for the discontinued model and retains unmanaged operation. Choose the newer model when Gigabit connectivity is required; the older part remains relevant to purchases intended to match an existing Fast Ethernet installation.
