SF200-24FP combines 24 Fast Ethernet access ports with PoE on every access connection and two fixed Gigabit combo uplinks. This Layer 2, smart managed switch belongs to the Small Business 200 family and occupies one rack unit. Each combo uplink offers a choice between an RJ-45 connection and its shared SFP cage, allowing copper or fiber connectivity without a removable uplink card. The configuration serves business networks connecting IP phones, cameras and wireless access points whose requirements fit standard PoE. The discontinued SF200-24P provides PoE on 12 access ports instead of the full access-port complement. SF200-24FP identifies a 200 Series Fast Ethernet smart switch with 24 access ports and PoE on all 24 access ports. The SF200 portion identifies the Fast Ethernet model family, 24 identifies access-port quantity, and the FP configuration distinguishes all-port PoE from the partially powered model.
SF200-24FP is managed through a browser-based web interface for switch configuration and administration. Cisco FindIT provides network discovery and helps users reach the device's management interface. The web interface supports configuration of traffic separation, prioritization and other smart-switch functions rather than requiring the switch to remain unconfigured.
SF200-24FP is discontinued, with end of sale on October 4, 2018, and Cisco support ending on October 31, 2023. Software maintenance ended on October 4, 2019. In North America, the replacement chain passes through discontinued SF250-24P-K9-NA to CBS220-24P-4G-NA, which provides Gigabit access ports.
