SG200-50P identifies a 200 Series Gigabit smart switch: SG200 names the Gigabit smart-switch model group, 50 represents 48 dedicated ports plus two combo connections, and P identifies the PoE version. PoE is available on 24 access ports. SLM2048PT-NA is an ordering PID for this same model.
Cisco 200 Series Smart Switches use an embedded HTTP web interface and SNMPv1, SNMPv2c, or SNMPv3 for configuration and monitoring. SG200-50P also includes legacy Cisco OnPlus integration, while FindIT provides device discovery. SG200-50P supplies a shared 180W PoE budget across 24 powered access ports, with a 15.4W maximum on an individual powered port. SG200-50P uses PoE rather than PoE+. The 50-port Gigabit PoE smart switch accepts MGBSX1 for multimode fiber and MGBLX1 for single-mode fiber in its two 1G SFP combo positions. Each fiber position shares a connection with a copper port, so copper and fiber cannot operate simultaneously on the same combo connection.
