SF350-48P combines 48 10/100Mbps PoE+ access ports with four fixed 1G uplink connections in a full-width 1U chassis. Two uplinks are dedicated SFP slots; the other two are copper/SFP combos that use one medium per connection. The managed Layer 2+ design serves small-business networks connecting voice phones, IP cameras and wireless access points. As a member of the Cisco 350 Series Managed Switches, the unit provides separate access and uplink connections without a removable network-module bay. Gigabit uplinks do not change the Fast Ethernet limit on the powered downlinks. Static inter-VLAN communication supports locally configured networks. The discontinued SF350-48MP offers a larger PoE budget for the same access density. Configuration remains local to each chassis rather than a hardware stack with a shared control plane.

When an endpoint order includes higher-draw devices, allocate them to the eight ports supporting 60W PoE rather than assuming every powered socket has that capability. Individual power limits still sit inside one shared allocation. Specify endpoint requirements and the intended port assignment before placing the order.
When multiple units are staged before shipment, the default 192.168.1.254/24 address can create conflicts on a preparation network. Console access stays available when the management IP changes. SF350-48P identifies a Fast Ethernet member of the Cisco 350 Series with 48 PoE+ access ports: SF350 identifies the series configuration, 48 gives the access-port count, and P identifies the powered model. Gigabit uplinks are included in the hardware configuration rather than represented by a separate uplink segment in this model name.
SF350-48P is managed through its HTTP/HTTPS web interface, Textview CLI over the RJ-45 console, SSH or Telnet, and SNMP versions 1, 2c and 3. Network-level options include Smart Network Application, Cisco FindIT Network Manager and Cisco Active Advisor. Select the management path and authentication settings before deployment.
SF350-48P is discontinued: the North American ordering variant ended sale on January 29, 2023, and Cisco support ends January 31, 2028. Its direct replacement, CBS350-48P-4G-NA, is also discontinued. The current forward replacement is C1300-48P-4G, rather than that intermediate Cisco Business model.

Replacement planning must distinguish this historical hardware migration from a new-generation purchase, because SF350-48P is itself discontinued and has a subsequent replacement chain.
SF350-48P provides a shared 382W PoE budget across 48 powered access ports. Eight ports support 60W PoE, while the remaining ports support 30W. These are per-port ceilings, not a promise of simultaneous maximum output; size the combined endpoint allocation against the shared power budget.
SF350-48P has four 1G uplink connections: two dedicated SFP slots and two copper/SFP combo ports. A combo connection uses copper or fiber, not both simultaneously. Supported optics include MGBSX1 and MGBLX1; the uplink architecture does not provide 10G SFP+ connectivity or a removable network-module bay.
SF350-48P supports static IPv4 routing with 990 routes and 128 IP interfaces, plus IPv6 routing and PBR. These functions serve manually configured inter-VLAN networks. Plan next hops and interface assignments around those limits rather than assuming a dynamic routing engine or an additional software tier.
SF350-48P occupies a full-width 1U rack position and measures 440 mm wide, 44 mm high and 350 mm deep. Its 5.59 kg chassis is not a compact desktop model. The standard package includes a mounting kit; specify mounting accessories and the required power cord when defining order contents.
SF350-48P uses internal AC power with a 100-240V, 50-60Hz input. Worst-case consumption reaches 464.3W at 110V with PoE loads connected. That figure includes system demand as well as endpoint power; size the AC circuit and UPS to the full-load requirement instead of using only the PoE budget.
SF350-48MP provides a 740W PoE budget, compared with 382W on SF350-48P. Both are discontinued 48-port Fast Ethernet PoE+ models with the same fixed uplink arrangement. The higher-budget model addresses greater aggregate endpoint demand; SF350-48P fits installed-base orders whose allocated load remains within its smaller shared allowance.
SF350-48P has an internal AC supply, whereas SF352-08P uses an external AC adapter. Both models are discontinued. The internal-supply model suits orders requiring power conversion inside the chassis; the external-supply model suits orders where a separate adapter is acceptable and must be included with the hardware.
C1300-48P-4G has 48 Gigabit Ethernet access ports, while SF350-48P has 48 Fast Ethernet access ports. The current Catalyst model completes the migration chain beyond the discontinued CBS350 replacement. C1300-48P-4G suits Gigabit endpoint requirements; SF350-48P remains an installed-base option where 100Mbps access links meet the specified design.
