WS-C3750G-24PS-E is a managed Layer 3 access switch with 24 Gigabit Ethernet copper ports, IEEE 802.3af PoE and four fixed Gigabit SFP uplinks. Its full-width 1U chassis belongs to the Cisco Catalyst 3750G range and ships with the IP Services software image for advanced routing, including hardware-based IPv6 routing. The copper connections serve wired endpoints, while powered ports accommodate compatible IP phones and wireless access points. Fiber connections use built-in SFP cages rather than an interchangeable uplink card. WS-C3750G-24TS-E1U is the discontinued non-PoE sibling with the same copper-port count and fixed SFP arrangement. Within the Cisco Catalyst 3750 family, this configuration combines endpoint power with the higher software feature set for maintaining an existing enterprise access installation.

32 Gbps switching capacity defines the switching fabric, while 38.7 Mpps forwarding handles 64-byte packets. 370W of PoE capacity supports 24 simultaneous powered connections at 15.4W per port. OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGPv4 and IS-ISv4 provide dynamic unicast routing; PBR supplies policy-based forwarding, and PIM-SM, PIM-DM and PIM sparse-dense mode handle multicast routing. WS-C3750G-24PS-E carries 128 MB of DRAM for operating software and 32 MB of flash for image storage. Configurable limits of 12000 MAC addresses and 11000 unicast routes bound address and routing-table sizing. LACP supports aggregated Ethernet connections, while STP, RSTP and MSTP provide spanning-tree controls. 492W measured consumption at full traffic throughput with maximum PoE loading provides a loaded operating reference for electrical planning, rather than the internal supply's rating. Native uplinks remain Gigabit Ethernet: replacing an optical transceiver does not add a 10G interface.
Specify WS-C3750G-24PS-E in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, with required accessory PIDs and quantities on the purchase order. Certified refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested, with PoE output verified under load on every powered port; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. ORM's warranty is up to 3-year extended for new units and up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply; Cisco's original limited lifetime warranty ended January 31, 2018. Submit quantities for enterprise and volume orders: POs accepted, Net-30 for government, RMA with advance replacement, and regional stock and RMA across UK, EU, US and MEA.

When adding capacity to an existing stack, Cisco Catalyst 3750 and Catalyst 3750-E switches can operate together, and automatic software version checking aligns members. That purchase extends an existing configuration rather than establishing a new equipment standard. Specify the intended stack partners and verify software compatibility before the PO.
When an access refresh moves gateway interfaces onto the switch, 128 SVIs are recommended, while the supported maximum is 1000 depending on route and multicast entries. Interface count alone does not settle sizing. Include the planned SVI count, routing entries and multicast requirements in the configuration review before ordering.
When replacing staging hardware for large-frame validation, Gigabit ports support an MTU of 9000 bytes and a maximum Ethernet frame size of 9018 bytes for bridging. Keep the intended frame size explicit in the test plan rather than treating all large-frame traffic alike. Check endpoint and intervening-link settings before the PO.
10G uplinks to distribution
The four fixed SFP uplinks operate at 1G. WS-C3750G-24PS-E has no 10G uplink interface or removable uplink card bay; changing transceivers cannot add 10G connectivity.
PoE+ power for higher-draw endpoints
WS-C3750G-24PS-E supplies 802.3af PoE at 15.4W per port, not PoE+. C9300-24P-A is the current 24-port PoE+ successor, with modular uplinks rather than fixed SFP uplinks.
Hardware within Cisco support dates
WS-C3750G-24PS-E passed its last date of support on January 31, 2018. C9300-24P-A is the current successor after the discontinued Catalyst 3750-X and Catalyst 3850 generations.

WS-C3750G-24PS-E identifies a Catalyst 3750 Gigabit configuration: WS-C3750G is the switch prefix, 24 denotes the copper-port count, P indicates PoE, S corresponds to four SFP uplinks, and E selects IP Services. The complete configuration has Gigabit copper access connections and Gigabit optical uplinks, not 10G uplinks.
WS-C3750G-24PS-E supports CLI through the console, Telnet and SSH, web-browser setup, Cisco Network Assistant, CiscoWorks, and SNMPv1, v2c and v3. SSH and encrypted SNMPv3 require a cryptographic software image. Administrators can configure the switch individually or manage a stack through a single IP address.
WS-C3750G-24PS-E is discontinued: end of sale was January 30, 2013, and its last date of support was January 31, 2018. Software maintenance ended January 30, 2014. The original replacement, WS-C3750X-24P-E, is also discontinued; the forward replacement chain reaches the current C9300-24P-A.
New sealed and certified refurbished WS-C3750G-24PS-E units carry ORM warranties: new, up to 3-year extended; refurbished, up to 1 year. Returns are 30 days on every condition; terms apply. Cisco's original limited lifetime hardware warranty ended January 31, 2018. ORM refurbishment is inspected and bench-tested, with firmware verified and configuration wiped to factory default.
IP Services is the included software feature set on WS-C3750G-24PS-E, while IP Base is the lower family option. CD-3750G-EMI= upgrades supported standard-image Gigabit models to IP Services. The E model already carries that feature set; specify the image and applicable software entitlement when ordering.
370W is the PoE budget for WS-C3750G-24PS-E, supporting 24 simultaneous powered ports at 15.4W per port. The powered connections support IEEE 802.3af and Cisco prestandard PoE. Endpoint requirements must fit that power class; the switch does not supply PoE+ for higher-draw devices.
The Catalyst 3750G 24-port PoE configuration uses four fixed Gigabit SFP uplinks. GLC-SX-MM= supplies an SX optical option, while GLC-LH-SM= supplies an LH option. Specify compatible optics for the installed fiber and remote connection; these cages do not become 10G uplinks through a transceiver change.
A Catalyst 3750 StackWise stack contains a maximum of nine switches and uses a 32 Gbps interconnect. Cable options are CAB-STACK-50CM= at 50 cm, CAB-STACK-1M= at 1 m and CAB-STACK-3M= at 3 m. Select the cable lengths and quantities to match the intended physical arrangement.
WS-C3750G-24PS-E supports OSPF, IGRP, EIGRP, BGPv4 and IS-ISv4 through its IP Services image, alongside static routing and RIP. PBR controls policy-based forwarding, while PIM-SM, PIM-DM and PIM sparse-dense mode support multicast routing. The configurable unicast route total is 11000, so routing plans must fit that capacity.
WS-C3750G-24PS-E uses an internal autoranging AC supply accepting 100-240V AC. External backup power can connect through PWR-RPS2300 or PWR675-AC-RPS-N1=. Redundancy is external rather than a second internal supply. For PWR-RPS2300 connections, specify CAB-RPS2300= separately when building the power accessory lines on the order.
WS-C3750G-24PS-E provides PoE on its copper access ports, whereas WS-C3750G-24TS-E1U is non-PoE. Both retain 24 Gigabit copper ports, four Gigabit SFP uplinks and IP Services, and both are discontinued. The PoE model serves powered endpoints in legacy installations; the non-PoE sibling suits externally powered devices when matching existing equipment.
WS-C3750G-24PS-E includes IP Services, while WS-C3750G-24PS-S includes IP Base on the same 24-port PoE hardware configuration. Both models are discontinued. IP Services suits legacy networks requiring advanced routing such as OSPF; IP Base suits existing configurations using its lower software feature set rather than those advanced routing functions.
WS-C3750G-24PS-E has four fixed Gigabit SFP uplinks, whereas C9300-24P-A uses modular uplinks. C9300-24P-A is the current successor after the discontinued WS-C3750X-24P-E and WS-C3850-24P-E. The older switch suits matching an existing legacy installation; the successor suits replacement projects that specify their uplink architecture through a removable module.
