WS-C3750G-24TS-E is a managed Layer 3 access switch with 24 Gigabit copper ports and four fixed 1G SFP uplinks. The non-PoE configuration connects separately powered endpoints, and the IP Services image enables advanced routing at the enterprise edge. Its original 1.5-rack-unit enclosure distinguishes the hardware from later revisions sold under similar names. The Cisco Catalyst 3750 family combines access switching with aggregation roles, but this model cannot accept a removable uplink card. The discontinued WS-C3750G-24TS-S ships with IP Base instead, making software-image selection a material difference when specifying a legacy replacement.

32 Gbps switching capacity defines the switching fabric available for traffic forwarding. 38.7 Mpps forwarding provides the packet-rate figure to use when comparing traffic profiles. OSPF, EIGRP, BGPv4, and IS-ISv4 support dynamic unicast routing; PBR directs traffic by policy, while PIM-SM and PIM-DM support multicast forwarding. Configurable tables accommodate 11000 unicast routes and 12000 MAC entries, with deployment-specific templates allocating resources to routing and VLAN functions. WS-C3750G-24TS-E carries 128 MB of DRAM and 16 MB of flash for system operation and local image storage. Cisco IOS management includes CLI access, browser-based configuration, Cisco Network Assistant, and CiscoWorks integration. SSH requires a cryptographic software image, a distinction to retain when matching an existing management baseline. 169W measured consumption at 100% throughput represents operation under full traffic load rather than the maximum facility-planning figure; electrical sizing should distinguish measured consumption from the supply's maximum rating.
Specify WS-C3750G-24TS-E in new sealed or certified refurbished condition, with quantities and accessories itemized on the PO. Refurbished units are inspected and bench-tested for power-on and POST, rated-speed links on every port, clean boot, optics bay recognition, and stack adapter negotiation; firmware is verified and configurations are wiped to factory default. ORM warranty coverage is up to 3-year extended for new units or up to 1 year for certified refurbished units, with 30-day returns on every condition, terms apply; Cisco's original Limited Lifetime coverage ended March 15, 2014. For enterprise and volume orders, ORM Systems accepts POs, offers Net-30 for government, and provides RMA with advance replacement.

When an existing Cisco Catalyst 3750 stack needs another member, the stack master controls the software revision and global configuration loaded onto that member. A purchased unit therefore needs to match the running stack's requirements before installation. Record the master image and existing configuration requirements before the PO.
When a lab needs to reproduce a segmented legacy network, the switch supports 1005 VLANs per switch or stack and 128 spanning-tree instances per switch. Those limits are separate planning constraints rather than interchangeable counts. Identify the required VLAN population and spanning-tree design before specifying the staging equipment.
When regional repair plans require a common spare, ORM Systems supports UK, EU, US, and MEA stock and RMA handling. Keep the hardware identifier and requested software image aligned across the spare pool rather than treating similarly named switches as interchangeable. Specify the regional delivery and RMA requirements on the PO.
Power for connected endpoints
WS-C3750G-24TS-E does not deliver PoE on its copper ports. Endpoints must use their own power source; switch-supplied endpoint power is unavailable.
Removable higher-speed uplink cards
The fixed 1G SFP uplinks cannot accept a removable uplink card. C9300-24T-A provides modular uplinks; specify the required uplink selection with the replacement hardware.
Active manufacturer service coverage
Cisco hardware service ended March 15, 2014; sealed inventory does not restart coverage. C9300-24T-A is the current migration model rather than another discontinued intermediate replacement.
A single-unit rack allocation
The original chassis is 1.5 rack units high, not 1U. A single-rack-unit mounting allocation cannot accommodate the unit's full chassis height.

WS-C3750G-24TS-E identifies a Catalyst 3750G switch: WS-C3750G is the family, 24 is the copper-port count, TS describes copper access with four SFP uplinks, and E selects IP Services. The complete PID identifies the original 1.5-rack-unit chassis, not the later single-rack-unit version.
WS-C3750G-24TS-E is managed through the Cisco IOS CLI over console or Telnet, SSH with a cryptographic image, web-browser setup, Cisco Network Assistant, CiscoWorks, and SNMPv1/v2c/v3. The browser-based tools support configuration, while the console provides out-of-band access. Encrypted SNMPv3 also requires the cryptographic software image.
WS-C3750G-24TS-E comes with IP Services, the software image enabling advanced unicast and multicast routing. The alternative IP Base image supplies basic routing, and CD-3750G-EMI= is the IP Services upgrade kit for eligible standard-image models. Specify the included image explicitly when comparing quotes for legacy hardware.
WS-C3750G-24TS-E provides four fixed 1G SFP uplinks; optical connections use compatible SFP transceivers such as GLC-SX-MM= or GLC-LH-SM=. The uplink cages do not provide a removable network-module bay, so a faster uplink card cannot be fitted to this chassis. Match transceivers to the intended fiber connection.
Cisco StackWise supports nine switches in a Catalyst 3750 stack, including WS-C3750G-24TS-E, over a 32 Gbps interconnect. Stacking uses dedicated connections rather than access interfaces. Cable options are CAB-STACK-50CM=, CAB-STACK-1M=, and CAB-STACK-3M=. Select the cable length against the physical positions of the stack members.
WS-C3750G-24TS-E has a 190W maximum facility-planning figure, with measured consumption of 169W at 100% throughput and 134W at 5% throughput. The internal supply accepts 100-240V AC. These traffic-load measurements describe the switch itself; the non-PoE model does not add switch-supplied endpoint power to its electrical load.
WS-C3750G-24TS-E uses the original 1.5-rack-unit chassis, measuring 66 mm high, 445 mm wide, and 295 mm deep. Its weight is 5.7 kg. RCKMNT-3550-1.5RU= is the spare rack-mount kit for this model; confirm mounting hardware when assembling a replacement order from separately quoted equipment.
WS-C3750G-24TS-E is discontinued: sales ended March 16, 2009, and Cisco hardware support ended March 15, 2014. The original replacement, WS-C3750G-24TS-E1U, has also been discontinued, and the migration chain now reaches C9300-24T-A. Sealed inventory does not restore manufacturer support for the original hardware.
WS-C3750G-24PS-E supplies IEEE 802.3af PoE, whereas WS-C3750G-24TS-E does not supply endpoint power. The powered model has a 370W budget for connected devices. Both models are discontinued; the powered configuration suits legacy PoE replacement requirements, while the data-only configuration suits endpoints with their own local power supplies.
WS-C3750G-24TS-E includes IP Services, while WS-C3750G-24TS-S includes IP Base. IP Services enables advanced routing such as OSPF and BGPv4; IP Base supplies static routing, RIP, and EIGRP Stub. Both products are discontinued. Advanced routed legacy access requires IP Services, while basic routed access can use IP Base.
C9300-24T-A provides modular uplinks, while WS-C3750G-24TS-E has four fixed 1G SFP uplinks. C9300-24T-A is the current migration model; the original switch is discontinued. An exact legacy spare purchase requires the original hardware identifier, while a newly specified modular design requires the uplink selection to be included in the order.
ORM Systems offers WS-C3750G-24TS-E new sealed or certified refurbished, with up to a 3-year extended warranty on new units and up to 1 year on refurbished units. Both conditions have 30-day returns; terms apply. Cisco's original Limited Lifetime warranty is no longer active because manufacturer service ended March 15, 2014.
